ANTINIGHT and ANTI2NIGHT Splatoon AU

wow I’m posting a lot today!!!! anyways here’s the stuff I got down for the AU yes ON PAPER because i was in a car for a day trip DO NOT JUDGE ME

Also the “0splatanas4u” thing came to me in a dream it’s SO PERFECT thank you Nintendo for giving us the Splatana in Splatoon 3

OKAY here’s the quick rundown of the lore I’ve come up with so far

AntiNight and Anti2Night are part of a bigger investigation into why cephalopods around Inkopolis and the Splatlands are going missing out of the blue (“Eclipsing” as they call it), including the idols Pearl and Marina of Off The Hook. Unbeknownst to them, Marina’s work on the Project Memverse is also occuring, which is the source of the disappearances. Unfortunately, Order isn’t the only one pulling cephalopods into the Memverse. Something else is.

DUN DUN DUNNNNNN thats what i got so far but for extra points…

AntiNight infiltrates the labs being used to work on and facilitate Project Memverse and find technology mostly beyond their comprehension because… this is Marina we’re talking about.

Greyscaling and Eclipsing are actually different, Greyscaling floods the subject with so many memories (mostly bad) they lose the will to keep going and unfortunately becoming a still conscious puppet while Eclipsing wipes a subject’s memory and makes them into a hollow vessel (this is how I’m interpreting the two, at least)

Anti2Night used to be a ranked team (Including a substitute if someone was busy) and definitely worked Salmon Run shifts as Eggsecutive VPs even though nobody really knows how they got to such a high rank.

Ajarbythedoor gives me Octarian soldier that defected (before Marina ever did) vibes. He definitely likes being an archivist more than he ever liked being in the military but then again, anyone would lol

misc slimeknight House MD au thoughts WARNING MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS AND ALSO TW FOR MEDICATION ABUSE?? ITS HOUSE…

D3r takes Vicodin for VERY SEVERE MIGRAINES (alas I’m hitting him with the projection beam but I don’t take Vicodin for my migraines)

D3r subsequently abuses Vicodin and goes to rehab for a bit where he meets Ze (yes from A ReGect. yes he takes the place of the and only Juan “Alvie” Álverez played by Lin Manuel Miranda)

D3r lets Ze live in his house for a bit while he rooms with Avery

He actually lives with Avery and moves out multiple times before the eventually just getting a house together

Avery has been divorced 3 times (who even married him?? No one knows. He talks about them like they’re dead or something)

im still thinking about who’d be replacing House’s team, get back to me on it

someone said Hastur/TKIY would be Cuddy (and like. Yes. Yes please.) but that also means we need an equivalent to how Foreman becomes the new Cuddy in the later seasons….. hmmmmmm. I’ll also get back to you on that

i think Hastur would have a romantic interest in D3r but D3r does not like them at all (im so sorry D3rKing shippers and I am also sorry HouseCuddy shippers for how the show did them dirty) i think Hastur would get their heart broken ONCE and realize they’re AroAce

Avery is an oncologist yes but also he’s kinda empty headed. At least he’s good at breaking bad news to people. He’s got that charm!

D3r and Avery have office prank wars that are equally started by either of them. D3r tries really hard to shut off the “All Knowing, All Seeing” power he’s been granted so he can be surprised by Avery’s prank attempts but he’s just a little too smart even without All The Knowledge Ever Always. He still has to pretend to be surprised most of the time to spare Avery’s feelings.

Avery has to make lunch for D3r because let’s face it, that dude is NOT feeding himself and he always steals his lunch anyways

like season 6 ep 15, Avery mistakes a patio table for a dining room table because he’s a little dumb and is still unable to figure out what kind of furniture to buy for the shared apartment.

adding onto that last bit, he does eventually get a decorator like Wilson does, but instead of an organ being the only thing he actually picks out, it’s an arcade machine. (Up to interpretation which game it is :])

OKAY LAST THING FOR NOW. D3r gets totally pissed off at Hastur and drives his car into Hastur’s house. He goes to jail.

Shikamaia akasakaensis was a giant bivalve that lived during the mid-Permian (~274-267 million years ago), in the shallow tropical waters of a carbonate platform atop an oceanic seamount in the region of what is now Japan.

It had a long flat shell up to about 1m (3'3") long, with a raised triangular hump at the front and wing-like flanges at the sides — a shape that helped to spread out its weight on the soft seafloor sediment.

Its shell was once thought to have been translucent, allowing it to host symbiotic photosynthetic algae inside its body tissues and providing it with the extra sustenance needed to grow to such a huge size. However, more recent studies suggest its shell was actually opaque to sunlight, so instead it may have hosted chemosynthetic bacteria similar to some modern clams.

…Or, considering that it shared its habitat with some other big invertebrates such as a large species of the marine snail Euconospira and a giant crinoid, Shikamaia could simply have been living in such an incredibly food-rich environment that it was able to attain gigantic sizes purely from normal filter-feeding.
