What does #FreeTheGames mean to you?
It means to develop creativity in what for me is the most complete form of interactive art in a way bringing together those who enjoy video games from a pure artistic vision.
What about the indie game developers inspired your piece ?
They have a headache from trying to create something that jajajajajajaja.
Do you find any artistic camaraderie between the pursuit of street art and video game art ?
Man has always wanted to create as real as possible live something. Street art is the closest thing to free development of video games. You are not subject to big guys that rule over you. I feel there is a camaraderie shared by independent developers and urban artists.
What is your favorite game on Ouya ?
Definitely BombSquad.

#FreeTheGames is a beautiful concept that can be used as a model for all genres of business that are controlled by huge corporations. Any time that an independent business can get off of the ground in the shadows of the corporations, it is a win for the people.
It gives hope that creativity can overcome the obstacles created by the greedy few. Essentially the piece I did symbolizes the importance of breaking free. The arrows being caught are in direct relation to the obstacles along the path to freedom.
Graffiti/street art is similar to video game art in they are both going to happen with or without money or permission. True drive to create doesn’t contemplate reason or logic, it just moves forward like water in a river.

What does #FreeTheGames mean to you?
I think it’s about making gaming more accessible for both the player and the independent video game developer. Unless you work for the larger companies, your ideas wont reach fruition. This console offers a solution to that problem.

Having a friend who has been working on and off for 2 years on his own game, i understand the hard work that goes into the development of these games, from concept through to completion.

Yes, of course. I grew up on 8 bit, so a lot of my own personal work can be viewed almost as a regurgitation of these things. Seeing characters spring to life and allow you to guide them through other worlds is pretty inspiring stuff.
What is your favorite game on OUYA?
I’m a little bit partial to Mini Gore
