before the tragedy when junko was just seen as this famous model i think she would make a lot of jokes like "gah i just wanna cut someone's limbs off one by one with a circular saw!" but in her super cheerful bright tone and then immediately change the subject so everyone would just not comment on it and assume it was meant to be funny. oh you know junko and her weird jokes, she's just a little out of touch! then that night she goes back home to her torture basement
watching Seven Samurai
i wonder how many they'll need
i hesitate even to speculate
Finally broke down and looked up "67" on wikipedia today, and i love that wikipedia had to include the fact that people are using the meme as evidence of "brain rot" in younger generations because of how low-effort it is. And like, i have no horse in this race, i'm clearly out of touch enough with what the kids are saying that i have to go look up memes on the internet to understand them, but brain rot? I'm pretty sure kids have been saying random numbers as memes since... like, the beginning of language. the beginning of numbers. I'm guessing that some time around 15,000 years ago in hunter-gatherer tribes all around the world a scene played out where one kid shouted "hey look, four rocks!" after seeing a few rocks on the ground, and every other kid in the tribe shouted "four rocks! four rocks!" and the adults just stood around like "what the fuck are the kids on about now?" and then had to live with the kids saying "four rocks!" every time they saw four of literally any object together. Like, this does not seem like a new phenomenon.
Lmao imagine in death note light was trying so hard to find Ls real name but his actual name was literally L, so he already had his face just not his real name. Lmfao. Imagine him being bested like that. Haha dumbass.
chihiro!!!
WHAT IF PAPYRUS IS TAKEN BY DEVICE_FRIEND.
evidence below the cut...
If Chihiro made it to the end he would've saved Junko's life using Alter Ego like for Makoto in this essay I will
Danganronpa AU where Chihiro goes to Byakuya instead of Mondo in chapter two, and, as a fellow crossdresser, Byakuya doesn't kill him and takes him under his wing, bringing out the best in Byakuya and the worst in Chihiro.
Reblog this post and put your favorite Danganronpa ship from each game in the tags!
I may be the odd one out but I think Byakuya isn't Trigger Happy Havoc's antagonist.
Nagito Komaeda is clearly Goodbye Despair's protagonist. He actively sets himself up from the first case as deranged, and is seen as evil by everyone but himself in game. His actions, while understandable, are still irredeemable (trying to kill and coercing kills), and he remains that way throughout the whole game. His notable features are that he:
1. Sets himself up as a villain VIA manipulating someone to murder
2. Is consistently a bad guy
3. Ties into the games themes
4. Sets himself up as a victim in chapter five
Kokichi Ouma is clearly Killing Harmony's protagonist. He gets Miu, Gonta, and Kaito killed and executed. He antagonises everyone. He kidnaps. He manipulates. Everyone, again, views him as a villain, although it is his façade. While he is trying to end the killing games, and while his actions can be explained, they are still immoral despite intention. He is a liar throughout the whole game, provokes people throughout the whole game, and you could even argue he becomes worse as the game progresses. His notable features are that he:
1. Sets himself up as a villain VIA manipulating someone to murder
2. Is consistently a bad guy
3. Ties into the games themes
4. Sets himself up as a victim in chapter five
Byakuya Togami is commonly accepted as the Trigger Happy Havoc antagonist. However, the worst things he does- messing with Chihiro's body, framing Toko, playing a part in Sakura's death- are all far less extreme and can be redeemed. He does actively make an effort to redeem himself. He endeavours to be a better person throughout the whole thing. Framing a serial killer for a crime is a dick move, and so is fucking with a dead body, but Kyoko arguably did worse things to Hifumi and Chihiro's bodies, and she's seen as a good guy. Byakuya is rude, but he always works alongside Makoto. His key features are that he:
1. Only has a minor role in causing one death that he feels regret over
2. Goes through character development and redeems himself
3. Doesn't really have much to do with hope nor despair
4. Has no part in chapter five at all
Spot the difference final boss...
Byakuya seems to share more characteristics with Fuyuhiko and Maki- all three are characters who go through redemption arcs and end up as survivors and supports for their protagonist, as well as them all initially being incredibly rude, hostile, and isolating themselves until someone does something and they come out of their shell. I don't know exactly what to call this trio, since they're not antagonists. I'm sure there's a word for it.
So, who is Trigger Happy Havoc's antagonist? Let's cross people off.
1. Set up as a villain through manipulation into murder - crosses off most people other than Celeste, but she doesn't work very well, so we'll put this on hold.
2. Has consistent immorality - Celeste, Junko, Mukuro, and Mondo can all be applied.
3. Ties into the games themes/ hope vs despair - crosses off Mondo from the prior list
4. Chapter five victim - crosses off Celeste
Junko and Mukuro are the final two. Junko is eliminated because she's the mastermind.
Mukuro is introduced as a threat. She is set up to be a killer from the first time her name is uttered. She's an Ultimate Despair.
Her death affects the way the characters act. It changes the way they view breaking rules, because she serves as a reminder of what Monokuma is capable of. Her death is what helps set her up to help Junko. She's irredeemable but her actions are understandable. She's a soldier following orders. Every time her name is mentioned it's a warning. Mukuro Ikusaba is a bad person. She's a villain. She's an antagonist.
Mukuro Ikusaba should be the antagonist for Trigger Happy Havoc. I know exactly why she isn't.
We can't have our submissive femboy twink yaoi if Mukuro's the antagonist instead of Byakuya!! Who's gonna be the alpha male in the yaoi...?
There's something I adore about Kazuichi having three more years of experience than Chihiro in trigger happy havoc, and Alter Ego (supposed to be deleted btw) overriding Kazuichi's executions. What would've happened if Chihiro survived? How many other executions would've been stopped? Could Chihiro have taken over Monokuma, given time and resources? If only Mondo hadn't nerfed our goat...
Btw i WILL be gathering all crumbs of tsukuzeda evidence during my replay and you will all get gifted with it
Replaying sdr2 is so fun bc this time i am Locked In on doing the FTEs of my favs. On my original playthrough i did ibuki and chiaki, but this time I shall be doing Fuyuhiko, Nagito, and potentially Mikan. We shall see how it goes. (Also tsukuzeda stood next to each other at some point in the intro sequence that means they're canon)

Does anybody have any interest in hearing about the world's worst Danganronpa rarepair that I'm having a terrible time thinking about?
There are so many Danganronpa ships out there and you're telling me I'm lying awake at night thinking about scenarios of two characters who have never met in canon???? What is up with that???
Like, these two don't even have any interactions in Talent Development or Summer Camp, but my brain has made it its personal mission to make some up anyways. Goddamn.
Like, it's not my favorite, but I think their interactions would be fun and interesting and work really well! And it is still so stupid
I don't think the deltarune prophecy is gonna end with the fountain sealing. There needs to be a HARMONY of light and dark after all. Light can't just dominate everything or else they'll have a reverse roaring. A meowing? I don't know. But like. What if someone just died instead.
