Lower Back Exercise for Artists

Hey everyone, been meaning to make this video for a while. This is the exercise I do to strengthen my lower back. A few years ago I had chronic back pain and saw a doctor. He showed me this exercise. Since then, I’ve done this on a daily basis and the pain has disappeared, so I want to share it with the wider art community. It’s very simple.

Instructions:

Lay flat for 30 seconds.

Primarily using your lower back muscles, hold yourself upright like in the video for 30 seconds.

Repeat 4 more times, adding one more 30 second rest at the end.

So, all together you will hold five times and rest six times. Do this daily and your back will get quite strong. Combine with other core-strengthen exercises like planks and pushups to get really strong. Try it for a few weeks and let me know if it helped you!
