Just sharing some more finished panels. I am close to done, but also have a couple of trips scheduled this month so don't know when I'll be able to work on it. This weekend I'll be at Eastercon (sci-fi convention) in Birmingham.
Perspective doesn't have to be rigid: a tutorial
Perspective is one of the most powerful tools you have as a comic artist, but I feel it's a bit misunderstood. Feared, sometimes. Maybe even a bit maligned. But it doesn't have to be that way and it makes me sad to see my fellow artists struggling, so I put together this tutorial. It contains my own way of thinking about perspective beyond the purely technical definitions, more of "how to approach the problem" kind of thing. Don't get me wrong; I love the technical challenge of creating a complex 4-point perspective just for the sake of it, but I realise not everyone is like me. If you want to use perspective tools without committing to hours of techinical drawing, this is for you.
Update on my progress:
Currently halfway through colouring Alethia ch.15. I'm planning to release it next month if all goes according to keikaku.
Quindrie Press’ goal has always been to support the UK comic scene, so a large portion of our profit over the years has been bookmarked to be able to pay creators for future projects. As Quindrie Press will be closing down at the end of 2026, we want to ensure the bookmarked money still goes towards comic creators.
The Quindrie Comic Fund will consist of a shared £3,000 pot. UK-based creators can apply for up to £1,000 for a specific comic-related project or goal. Maybe you want to buy some comic-making supplies, attend a workshop to improve your craft, pay for an editor, or print your webcomic; no comic project is too small. Submissions will be reviewed by Eve Greenwood, Hari Conner, and Nyla Ahmad.
Submissions open on Friday 8th May 2026 and close on Friday 31st July 2026 at 5pm BST (three months total). For full details on creator and project eligibility, read the information page here.
We have already heard from people who are interested in donating to increase the fund pot. I would be delighted to expand the fund and would gratefully accept donations of any size. If you would like to donate to the fund so that it can support more creators, please go to the donation information page here to learn how and sign up for an email notification when the donation page goes live on 6th April 2026.
