i know i may not have the right to tell you otherwise, because in the end, it’s going to be your choice. but the most i can do right now is to tell you reasons why you should stop and reconsider why you want to do this. listen, okay? you matter. i know right now you may feel like shit, like everyone else could care less if you decided to end your own life. well, that’s not true. it’s not true. if i could reach out and hug you and tell you endless reasons why you deserve to exist, i would.
somewhere in the world, there’s someone who wishes they could have met you. there’s a someone who wishes they could have heard your voice, or known your favorite color, or held your hand. there’s someone in the world who would love you, who would know exactly how absolutely wonderful you are and won’t make you feel any less. they just haven’t had a chance yet. and if you think about ending your life now, they may never have that chance again.

this isn’t an opinion. this is a fact. you are worth every living cell and life-holding part of your body. your lungs strive every day to make sure you’re never out of breath, your tissues work hard to heal any inflicted wounds on your skin, your heart continues to pulsate even if you want it to stop. with everything you’ve been through, your body hasn’t given up— so you shouldn’t, either.
there are so many reasons why you shouldn’t end your life, but these are the same reasons why you should keep it, too. please, take the time to sit down and think of all the possibilities that your life can bring you. even when you think you aren’t loved, you are. your body has loved you from the beginning, and there is someone who will love you more than anything in the future. all that’s left is for you to love yourself.
i know that these words may seem meaningless, but they aren’t. from the bottom of my heart, i can tell you this: i care. people care. somebody, even the most unlikely person you can think of, cares. dear, you deserve to live. i cannot stress enough, and anything i say will never amount to how valuable you are to the world. i swear it.
these words may affect you or they may not, because at the end of the day, it’s for you to decide. but please don’t forget: your life is worth keeping. you are worth loving. in the simplest, most sincerest words i can give you, i want you to stay. please stay.
