When Fabian pointed at the picture, Gideon nodded his head before responding. “Yep, that’s him. Once you get passed some of the oddities that he has, you kind of realize how interesting he really is. You kind of get to see how he sees things.” Gideon would’ve been lying if he said he didn’t question Xeno when he first met him, however, work with someone long enough and you got used to who thy are. Sure, there were still moments when he could be a bit much, but you learned to move past them. “I’m honestly quite ready to travel a bit more for work. I think it would make the job a little more fun.” He commented.
Gideon was good with creatures, he could figure out why, but he always had a way with them. Those smaller kind of classes always seemed to be a little easier for him. His brothers questions made him smile a bit before nodded his head. “Yeah, they can turn invisible. It’s kind of freaky, to see it just disappear in front of your eyes, but also really cool.” Gideon answered. “And they can tell the future, but they don’t do much with it, I don’t think…” He wasn’t able to dive into the future seeing aspect too much, so he was still a little unsure of it all.
As his brother talked about his job, Gideon working on his drink, but made sure he was listening carefully. “Has the political involvement gotten bad or anything?” He asked. This war was seeping it’s way into everyone’s life, and everything around them. “Well, hopefully they can get you some work soon. Merlin knows we don’t need you getting into any trouble cause you’re bored.” Gideon teased, wanting to keep topics from getting too serious.
"Well...” Fabian tilted his head, remembering his first time traveling for work. He had been excited until he realized that his schedule was so packed that he didn’t really have time to do anything else other than work. “As long as you find time to do things that you want to do then it should be fun. There’s hardly any difference if you just spend all day cooped up writing here or there.”
It was a tangent to their conversation but Fabian couldn’t let it go without clarifying more things about the demiguise. “So they’re like seers? They can talk?”
Fabian shook his head. “I wouldn’t say it was bad but... more vocal teams are taking their stances but you know how it is nowadays.” The threat of being punished or worse whenever you say something against the Death Eater hung in the air. Fabian didn’t feel the need to say it. “Well, it’s not like they can schedule a major game just so that I have work. And besides, I don’t know what you mean,” Fabian said before taking a sip from his mug, leaving only a few gulps left of the butterbeer. A corner of his lip was turned, just enough to make his tone slightly teasing but there was something in his eyes that asked Gideon to drop it.
