Fallon hid her face in her hands at Freyaâs words, but she was giggling as she leaned back. âYeah, I do.â She hadnât expected it in the slightest, but she thought that it was better that way. They, whatever they were for now, had just happened. âItâs impossible for me to not overthink things. But Iâm trying really hard not to. I donât - I donât know itâs just different. Itâs not really something I can explain, but itâs a good different and I like it a lot.â She finished lamely, shrugging, but still with a smile on her face.
Happy. Fallon seemed head over heels happy and it made Freyaâs heart feel a little lighter. It was a relief after everything to know that happiness was still obtainable. âYou seem happy.â Freya confessed with a smile. Leaning forward she captured Fallon in a hug. âIâm really happy for you. No one deserves this more.â  It was true. âSo does this mean youâre settling down here?â Fallon had always been a bit of a nomad, something Freya was familiar with.Â
jamest-taylor:
âItâs not. At all. Honestly, Iâd be a little worried if you were turned and popped up the next day, not finding anything wrong with it. ItâsâŠjarring. Even for people who grew up in werewolf families, who prepare for it, it shocks them, too. Itâs not something you can really prepare for.â He wanted her to be reassured that everything that she was feeling was entirely normal. âIn some ways, you really arenât yourself. And I donât say that to freak you out, I say that to remind you that while youâre you, youâre a different version of yourself. And you canât expect to be the exact same person that you were before, not right out of the gate.â She needed to give herself time to adjust, and time to figure out who she was now, not mourn who she had been before. âYouâre not someone else completely. Thereâs just a piece of you that you never had before, and itâs unfamiliar to you. Most people donât like that what they arenât familiar with.âÂ
There was some relief that came with knowing that this wasnât uncommon for new werewolves. She wasnât sure if it helped her find peace with how she felt about this new revelation or that she would make it out of this okay but knowing that she wasnât the only one whoâd gone through this meant there were those who could help her navigate the troubled waters of what she was. âThat makes sense.â She confessed as she nodded her head. âIs it like this forever?â She found herself asking. âIs it just something you have to get used to or do you eventually find your way through it?

âIf you play Barbie girl youâve got tipsy people singing along. So outcome isnât that bad if you donât like your eardrums.â Part of Keats is tempted to get rid of the jukebox but when he is having a slow shift, putting a few tracks on passes the time. His nose scrunches at the mention of Donât Stop Believing. âSomeone always puts that on at the end of the night. Itâs like an annoying tradition.â
âI can imagine,â Freya said with a chuckle as she looked around the room picture this group singing along. âIâm having a hard time picturing this lot singing Barbie Girl but the very idea sounds rather amusing.â It sounded like he had plenty of funny stories from his observations during his job. âIt seems like a pretty popular one of a juke box. Probably about as common as someone playing closing time at the end of the night, Iâm sure. Two questions for you, how badly do you want to take a bat to this whole darn thing? Are there any safe songs to play?â
jamest-taylor:
He chuckled lightly at her words, nodding his head in thanks. âI appreciate that. Iâve done a lot to work on it over the years.â He wasnât serious at all, but she was absolutely more like her cousin than he had ever thought, and he had interacted with Fallon enough to know how to interact with Freya. âItâs okay. Itâs beenâŠwell, itâs been a while. Doesnât make it a whole lot easier, but itâs something that Iâve learned to live with.â That was all that anyone could do - live with things, and build a life around them. âI have, over the years. More since Iâve moved to town, since me being in one place for a long time makes it a little easier to maintain training. And, yes, for various different reasons. Some never wanted to be a wolf, some resented it, some were scared of it. But in the end they were all comfortable, or on their way there.âÂ
It was odd, Jamie was rather easy to talk to for a man she didnât know a thing about prior to this conversation. She understood now why her cousin had asked him for his help, there was something about his presence that was just calming. Clearly, heâd been through some pretty serious stuff in life to get to this point but it gave her hope that maybe it wouldnât always be like this. âSo itâs not uncommon to feel just so.... out of control?â Freya asked feeling a little over whelmed. âSome dayâs I donât even feel like myself.â She admitted feeling ashamed by that fact. âLike Iâm someone else completely and I donât like this new person.â
matty-stevens:
âFreya, such nasty thoughts.â Matty said in a posh accent, sounding vaguely like Scarlett OâHara. âItâs always a little warm for leather. Unless itâs winter, in which case youâll see me in twenty-seven layers with a leather jacket on top.â He loathed winter, and living in California had only added to that. âI am not. Though, if I was, it wouldnât be the first time.â
âSue me, I objectified Captain America and I am not ashamed,â Freya said with a laugh at his accent. âWell now thatâs a visual, I got to say it kind of kills the âcoolâ vibe that comes with the leather jacket.â Freya preferred New York to LA  so she was accustom to the weather. âSo youâre really just hanging out in a tree, just because?â
adam-haley:
The change in Freyaâs behavior should have raised a red flag for Adam. With Jere gone for the town, there should have been ample reason for Adam to look out for Freya and make sure she wasnât facing struggles being a werewolf. What he should have spotted as signs of a similar nosedive to the one he had experienced years before went ignored. Instead, he was buzzed and thrilled to see Freya at the party. âFreya Fairchild!â He shouted right back, throwing his hands up in their air when he saw her. âThose are fighting words, Fairchild. You better have the talent to back them up. The talent of a true beer pong master.â He wasted no time heading over towards the table, bee-lining towards it to take his spot across from her. âPrepare to be defeated!â
âThey sure are.â Replied with a sassy tone, fully equipped with sassy head swivle. So maybe she shouldnât have taken three beer bongs and those Jagger shots. It felt good though to not feel like herself. It was easier to forget that way. Adam was a good distraction. âYou think your punk ass can beat me? Oh you are in for a rude awakening pretty boy.â Freya drawled, she didnât even sound like herself right now. âYouâre talking to the champ.â She said as she lined up the cups in front of her. âI donât think youâre prepared for the humiliation youâre about to be served.â
fallonrobinson:
She flushed bright red at Freyaâs words, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear just to have something to do. âWe havenât even been on a date yet.â She mumbled, feeling like she was radiating heat. âIâŠI like him. And I love Darcy, and Val, so Iâve thought about that a little bit. What it would be like to be a parent figure. I mean, thereâs a lot more to think about when you start having feelings for someone who has two little kids. I just - Iâm nervous, you know? I donât know what Iâm doing. Iâve been in, what, a handful of relationships? And they were never this serious, and we arenât even dating yet. I mean - I donât know what I mean. I freak myself out about this a lot.âÂ
Judging by how red her cousin was getting Freya knew instantly that Fallon clearly actually liked this Dash character. âYou like him!â Freya cheered as she clapped her hands together happily. It was nice for Freya to see Fallon so happy. âDonât over think it alright? If it's meant to be its meant to be right? And he must like you too, I mean heâd be an idiot if he wasnât completely head over heels for you. Plus it sounds like you guys have a good thing going and youâre not even dating yet.â
noraxhastings:
âOh, God, no. My niece.â Not only was it biologically impossible, but she was pretty sure that raising a child at the point where she was would only be a disaster. âSheâs a good kid. Personality a mile wide, honestly. Itâs never a dull moment with her.âÂ
âOh, okay, yeah, that makes sense. Also, explains why she looks a little bit like you.â Freya said shaking her head. âSheâd make a great actress, kids got a big personality the industry loves that. Fun to watch. So youâre teaching her soccer?â
averycarterwate:
âI was being sarcastic,â Avery informed the other woman. âI would really appreciate the help,â she admitted with a small smile.
âOh okay!â Sometimes things like this were lost on her, a serious lack of normal interaction growing up probably had a lot to do with that. âGod, where are the hot shirtless guys when you need something like this done.â She commented with a chuckle as she grabbed the opposite side.
morgankeats:
âI shit you not. Someone lost an eyeball last time.â He glares over at a man slumped in the corner with a beer, who just smirks and tips his drink toward him. âDick.â He mutters under his breath before turning back to the other. âAlcohol plus too much testosterone, plus banjo solo equals a dick measuring contest of the brawling variety.â
Freya followed his line of vision to the drunk whoâd almost lost an eye and looked back at him with a raised eyebrow. âSo whatâs a safe bet, I mean what happens if you play Barbie Girl?â Admittedly she was curious if he had any other warnings in regards to the juke box. âI imagine âDonât Stop Believingâ always ends in the worlds worst karaoke session?â
catriona-the-witch:
âI think that youâd give my kids nightmares, if Iâm being honest.â She laughed, tucking a piece of her hair behind her ears. Sheâd let it do what it wanted to do, and it was curling wildly. âMom brain. Prepared for any and every scenario there could be.â She shrugged as she said it, still smiling. âIâve used that once, maybe. I donât think lavender is my color.âÂ
âWell we canât have that, I love them too much for them to be scared of me.â Freya said as she played with the purple locks in her hand. âYou carry wigs with you everywhere?â She teased her with a grin. âThatâs probably because you have kick ass locks already,â Freya said touching one of Catâs read locks fondly.
morgankeats:
Keats picked up a few glasses left in tables, his shift at the Hair of The Dog almost coming to an end. Seeing someone by the jukebox he spies them typing in a familiar set of numbers, just one away from playing a song he would rather be stabbed than listen to ever again.  âI swear to God if you put mumford and sons on Iâm going to kick your ass. We both know more bar fights happen when that banjo solo kicks in and Iâm the one that has to split it up.â
Freya looked up at the man with a look of surprise. Sheâd gotten a wide range of reactions from the town folks since sheâd come to town but this was a new one. âYouâre kidding right?â Freya said with a look of shock. âPeople seriously fight because of that song?â Freya looked a bit terrified now. âWell shit thatâs a new one.â
Starter for @adam-haley
It was 4pm in the afternoon and she was drunk, since Jer had left town sheâd been spiralling even quicker. Booze had been an easy escape for Freya, plus it was an excuse to leave the house, to be around people. Sure sheâd surrounded herself with people who didnât really give a damn about her but at least she wasnât alone. The booze flowed easily and sheâd taken to beer pong pretty easily. It shouldnât have been a surprise to see Adam out but she was excited to see a familiar face in her drunken state. âAdam Haley!â She yelled at him. âGet your put over here and let me make you my bitch at beer pong.â She said the trash talking clearly getting the better of her.Â
