“Wait, you have a fucking Camaro and you haven’t let me take a look at it?” Alex’s jaw dropped playfully, but she was dead serious. She wasn’t much of a mechanic but she loved speed and could usually keep a car or motorcycle going on her own until she crashed it. She was selective about who she shared that last bit of information with, though. 

“Okay, it’s not Maggie Jean’s fault she’s inbred, be nice.” Alex laughed as he pointed out the flaws in her mistake. She narrowed her eyes again and lightly kicked his knee from the perch on her branch. “C’mon, are you hiding some sort of baby mama or homosexual agenda? Spit it out.”

“It's not like I hide it.” He was incredibly proud of his car, and he moved to clamber out of the tree. Anyone who appreciated a Camaro was worth his time, and he liked the opportunity to show her off. “She's a beauty. Relatively new, so it won't be quite the same as seeing Silas’s Camaro around here, but in my defense there was no one to pass a 60s Cam onto me.”

“My bad, I didn't mean to insult Maggie Jean, I’m sure she's a good person.” He said with his hands raised in surrender. “Why does everyone automatically assume it's a baby mama? Do I look like the kind of person who should have a child? No. No I don't. And besides, I don't have anything going on with anyone. I just have some really cool friends.”

Maddy threw her head back and let out a laugh. “He’s a character all right. A character who should seriously consider joining a nudest colony since I hardly ever see him wear pants,” She laughed. “If only it could have been the lottery. But I guess you’ll have to settle with little old me,” She joked.

“He and Delilah, both.” Matty said with a laugh, smiling fondly at the thought of Delilah. She was a good friend, someone he enjoyed spending time with. Especially when he got the chance to kick her ass at video games. “The lottery’s overrated.” He said with a wave of his hand, shrugging the notion off.

Don’t worry about me. Are you okay? Here,” She stood, holding a hand out to help him up, “Let me help you.”

“I’m okay.” He mumbled, blinking away stars as he pushed himself up on his elbows. “I’m good. My ego is vaguely bruised, but this is far from the first time this has happened.” He said the words with a grin, letting her help him to his feet. “You know, I had thought that being a werewolf would give me all these cool new powers including the ability to walk without tripping over myself, but clearly not.”

@nicholasxadler: He’s a good time, we see a lot of things the same way, also good in bed. It’s distracting and we keep expectations to a minimum which is exactly how I prefer things. We’re both pretty terrible people, which actually makes me feel like being terrible isn’t so shitty and it’s alright to have this side that’s.. darker. Most other people just try to tell me to be something I’m not. So, we’re good.

@matty-stevens: He’s kind of a puzzle. I don’t get why he’s my friend, like I literally almost killed him and I’m the reason he’s a werewolf but he chills and watches movies with me like nothing happened. He’s way too good to be hanging around someone like me. But I’m a selfish person by nature and if he’s willing to hang around me, I won’t stop him.
