She didn't want to be rescued. She didn't want to be saved. She wanted to be supported, understood, and loved. She needed a hand to hold while she went through the storm. An arm to grab onto as the lightening strikes. A shoulder to bury her head onto as the fierce wind blows. That's all she needs.
