Everything seemed fine after Adora released the magic of the Heart out in the world and vanquished Prime out of existence. For a few glorious minutes, Catra thought this might be it. No more evils out there, no more war, not a reason out there for them to be apart from each other.
Then Adora passed out for three days, and woke up with no recollection of anything that happened after she broke She-Ra's sword.
Catra never gets to win. Right?
(Adora loses her memory. Catra believes she hates her again - despite everyone telling that, no, she doesn't. Even Adora herself. Repeatedly.)

You know when your laptop dies and you can't draw because you're so used to digital that a pencil and paper suddenly scare you—but then you give it a try, start kinda liking it… and just when that happens, your laptop gets fixed and the first thing you do is draw Catra?
This is a drawing I made for myself for my birthday! I'm really happy with how it turned out. I also wrote a long post about it on Instagram, but here, I'll just keep it simple— I run because I want to. ;3

This scene was so sad. It describe so much about Catra. I found it really interesting when SW tell us that it was always Catra who was coming giving her the diner. It shows how much she cares about SW and see her as more the a superior figure. Just by her posture, even if she’s higher than SW she feel really uncomfortable around her and intimidate. The way her arm are crossing, her ears and her legs.
Her answer to Catra’s question is really interesting because she was a sorceress and one of the best. I’m wondering what it takes to have magical power? Did she cheated on this too?!
And when Catra finally get on her knees, the way she bites her lips. God, poor baby cat she’s so insecure and sad.
AND when SW finally touch her, to pet her. I know SW was rude with her, and abused her physically, but it show how much she’s still afraid of her even if SW doesn’t have her magical power anymore and how she never really had healthy realtionship, because even with Adora, it was a competition and SW was making pressure that Catra feel like Adora’s pet and not her equal.
THe most sad thing is Catra that she’s still trying to save SW lives. She still want her beside her so she can finally be proud of her and show her true values. She just want to feel loved.
AND look how it makes her happy after. She’s retouching where SW touched her. She feels better and hope that it will be more.
I don’t know what SW wants by going see Adora. If she’ll try to kill her or joining her side. If she joins the rebellion and that Catra find out, it will be so worse for Catra and she’ll feel so betrayed because again SW will have chose Adora over her. I really hope Catra will a mother figure who will be healthy for her and make her know how much she worthy and beautiful.
there are so many scratches on the wall…. now i’m starting to think catra was often locked up in there when she was growing up, that’s why she feels bad for shadow weaver bc she knows what it’s like
the framing of the scene here is deliberate, and with how catra becomes small and childlike, i do think she’s been in there before
