May Sarton, from Journal of a Solitude
If you’re hurting right now;
Remember your worth.
Remember who you are.
You are still a magnificent person.
You are still deserving of happiness.
You can and you will get through this.
You have a beautiful life ahead of you.
Don’t give up on yourself.
Please take care.
-nicole addison
actually, I like the getting-to-know-each-other stage. where you stay up late just to talk to them. where you ask a ton of questions. where you clearly are smitten by each other but both are too shy to say anything. where you share music and memories with each other. the flirting, the yearning, the silly jokes forming, letting guards down, making plans to meet.
being alone all the time feels fine until you have a normal conversation with someone then its like ohhhh i was losing my mind ok.
Sometimes people need their space. They’re not cutting you off, they just need time to breathe and take care of themselves. They need some space to work on themselves. That has nothing to do with you.
i hate random sad days. having a heavy heart and an anxious mind is the worst.

Charlotte Brontë, from “Jane Eyre”
Franz Kafka // Sylvia Plath
Oh Allah, I forget you in the presence of many, yet you never forget me. I sin like You are not watching and You forgive me like You didn’t see. Oh my Lord, You love me more than anyone else ever will, I now know that’s the only love I need.
I am perpetually stuck between the desire to connect deeply with those I love and the desire to live in utter solitude. I fear equally, being disconnected from myself as much as I fear being disconnected from others.
The more time I spend alone, I feel the tug from two directions: the need to step outside my isolation and encounter the world outside of myself…and the desire to protect the world within from the unsolicited disturbances from the world without.
