Friday Night Cocktail

We are just a couple of lesbians 🌈 who know nothing about alcohol muddling our way through vintage cocktails 🍸 one Friday at a time.

This special Valentine’s Day Friday Night Cocktail is a mixed berry mimosa! This is a super easy one (perfect for VDay). Equal parts berry drink and pink bubbly wine. Garnish with fruit. Yummy! Mimosas (usually made with orange juice) have been around since the early 1920s! Perfectly paired with a brunch or for sipping when riding first class on an airline. There’s something about a mimosa that feels decadent.

This Friday Night Cocktail is taken straight out of the Disco 70s! Tequila Sunrise!

For our Friday Night Cocktail this week we decided to try a Pink Lady! Most Pink Lady recipes call for one egg white but we found one that used heavy cream instead! These turned out to be a beautiful pink blush and were delicious! We used Bombay Sapphire gin, Cocktail Artists grenadine and lemons from Imperfect Foods for the win!

For our first Friday Night Cocktail, we tried a Cucumber Mint Gimlet! This made us feel like we were sipping gin in a speakeasy during the Prohibition!

Cucumber 🥒 Mint Gimlet

• 2 in slice of peeled cucumber, halved and quartered

3. Shake 20-30 seconds.

• 10 mint leaves

• 1 1/2 teas Agave Nectar

• 1 lime, juiced

• 1 1/2 oz gin

1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle cucumber, mint and nectar.

2. Fill shaker with ice, pour lime juice and gin.

4. Strain into glass & garnish with mint.
