     ”Oh, you remember the slip.” He had hoped that she’d forget, but it had happened recently. Chuckling bashfully, he tried not to feel too ashamed. “You said you were going home soon? I don’t think I asked where you were from.”

Kari smiled. "I was born in the U.S, but I have family living in a city near here. My parents and I are staying there for a bit, but it's just a few train rides away." She explained.

Kari smiled. “Not too much. I’ve been training Milotic for a little bit, but he must have noticed you were here and went off to find you.” She said, returning Turtwig and Aron to their Pokeballs. Milotic nudged Ash gently, wanting to be petted.

"That’s awesome! Must be getting strong then, huh?" Taking the hint from the water type, he reached to pet her atop her head.

Kari smiled. "All of them are! I even won a tournament a while back." She said. Milotic cooed happily at the petting.

     ”I really like it! I’m going to sit down and read it as soon as I get home.” He was an avid reader, which meant he had already gone through the book he was holding onto to. That wouldn’t stop him from spending all night reading and re-reading the text.

   Sliding his school bag from his shoulder, he flipped open the top and settled the book in front of his math work. Once the bag was closed and returned to his back, he glanced past his glasses and up towards the woman.

   ”How’d you know I was going to be here?”

Kari tucked a strand of hair behind. "I'm glad!" She said. She rubbed th back of her head. "It was just luck actually, I was on my way to the building we first met at, when I saw you slip on the ice." She explained.

Milotic giggled but gave Ash his hat back. Kari then ran up, Turtwig and Aron by her side. “There you are Milotic! O, hello Ash.” She said, waving at her friend.

The trainer chuckled, adjusting his red cap to rest properly atop his head. While careless with many things, Ash was careful to make his prized hat an exception. “Hey there, Kari! What’s up?”

Kari smiled. "Not too much. I've been training Milotic for a little bit, but he must have noticed you were here and went off to find you." She said, returning Turtwig and Aron to their Pokeballs. Milotic nudged Ash gently, wanting to be petted.

Milotic giggled to himself as he playfully took off Ash's hat and placed it on his own head.

"Hey, my hat!" The teen looked left and right frantically before spotting teh sea serpent, a pout fixed on his lips. Why did so many Pokemon try to steal it from him, anyway?

Milotic giggled but gave Ash his hat back. Kari then ran up, Turtwig and Aron by her side. "There you are Milotic! O, hello Ash." She said, waving at her friend.

  "They were piece of cake" Sabo answered at the compliment of the woman.

He had train so hard and he was pretty strong.

He had to be if he wanted to protect Luffy

"Well…shall we go to the market?"

Kari nodded. "Right." She said. Some people turned and called out 'Thank you!' to the pair. Kari waved back. A little boy blinked up at them amazed eyes.. Kari looked down at the boy. "Y-you two are really brave!" He said. He turned to Sabo. "I'm gonna be strong just like you mister! And brave like you, lady!" He exclaimed. Kari smiled and knelt down to the boy's height. "I know you can, but for right now, you should start by helping the others. They'll need a strong guy like you to help them." She said. The boy nodded and went off to help free the hostages. Kari smiled as she got up.
