The Icejin monk let out an awkward chuckle, rubbing the back of his head. “Well, you see, Great Dragon” He began to exposit “I heard that there were some bad actors searching for the Namekain Dragon Balls. Now, there are warriors on the way to fight them, but aforementioned bad actors almost had them all. Therefore, I decided to gather the final balls to make a wish solely so they would scatter. I only wish for a sandwich because, otherwise, I want for nothing.”

To be fair, the logic was sound. If the end goal was indeed to buy time, scattering the Dragon Balls would essentially set whoever was looking for them back to square one. And if the goal IS the scattering of the Dragon Balls, the wish itself wouldn’t really matter, now would it? Very clever, in an odd sort of way.

But this was in part what PTSD does to a person - one can’t ever be sure what triggers what response until it happens. The seer just knew that they were absolutely terrified of the tyrant after what happened on (and to) Namek.
