I read The Long Walk initially for shits and giggles, thinking “it’s a book about walking how bad could it really be?” And now I‘m sitting here hours after the fact reflecting on friendships that have come and gone, friends that died, and imagining how painful being the last survivor would be. It brings to mind the quote “what is grief but love enduring.”

What‘s the point? Love is the point. Those brief, beautiful moments we get to share with others. Remembering the light old friends brought to your life no matter how brief it lasted. Idk, man. I just think life is beautiful and it sucks shit how society has decided to pit us against eachother. Supporting conflict rather than unity.
