Despite the fact I've been wanting to make an "all my art that isn't frogs" blog for a year now, I'm not even prepared. But eh... first make it, then fix it?

I've been drawing on the computer for a few years now, and I plan on finally moving back to krita soon. (I've been using ibis paint up until now) While I procrastinate on that, I've been doodling on whiteboard fox.
Things I like:
Frogs, Ramb Deltatune, mythology and folklore, world building, character design, and lemons (of course).
The DNI list is what you expect. No racism, sexism, pedos, etc. I will block right away.

soup update: turns out i do not actually have chicken. this is a tragedy. soup is postponed until i obtain chicken. i have made an egg sandwich to satiate my hunger
i made this by kind of just grabbing any vegetable i thought would be good in a soup and throwing it in a pot. i also researched Actual Recipes to find the things you're supposed to put in a chicken soup
i did not measure anything so put however much feels right
things i used:
cooked wild rice
chicken
chicken stock
cream of mushroom soup (10 oz can)
shallots (you can use onions- i just have Too Many shallots)
celery
carrots
parsnips
mushrooms
garlic
a ton of seasonings: parsley, oregano, truffle salt, some no-salt seasoning (idk whats in it but it smells good)
frozen corn
cook the rice first if you dont have any already cooked, i cut the vegetables while it was cooking. slice the carrots, chop em into four the slices if theyre bigger than like a quarter. slice the parsnips too, but i left them in bigger chunks bc the dream told me too. i dont make the rules.
take a couple celery stalks, cut off the ends, slice em up kind of small(?) dice shallots (or onions) real small, chop up mushrooms, i also crushed a couple small cloves of garlic w the flat side of the knife bc i really like garlic.
throw all of the vegetables in a big pot w some chicken broth (dont add rice yet). i have a whole rotisserie chicken so tossed the wings (bones n all) into the pot too. why? bone broth. put any seasonings you want. boil everything, once its bubbling let it simmer for like half an hour.
time to make a roux. whats a roux? makes the soup thick. in my dream it was a thick soup, so i looked up how to make this so you dont have too!
take probably abt 1/4 cup of butter (or oil, or vegan butter), melt it in a small pot on low heat, and SLOWLY stir in the same amount of flour. (emphasis on slowly so you dont get clumps) keep cooking it on low until it turns a light brown-carmelly color- stir almost constantly to avoid burning
if you put chicken wings in yours take them out now, take the bones out of them, and put the meat back in pour in the roux REALLYYYY slowly while stirring the soup, boil it for a few minutes
put in the cream of mushroom soup. the whole can. stir. shred up some chicken, throw it in the pot along with the rice from earlier and some corn add more seasonings to taste, and...

bonus: i made a salad w the extra veggies and cold brewed some hibiscus tea w mint, highly recommend

Just an FYI—the original intention of this post was to challenge the way people say only friends, as though friendship is somehow lesser than other forms of love. As if being deeply known, cherished, and chosen by another person could ever be a small thing. Normalize profound platonic love. Some of the most fulfilling, transformative, and enduring relationships we will ever have are friendships. 🫶🏼
Shouting this from the rooftops. I've never liked the whole "only friends" or "more than friends" thing that much. The dearest person I have in my life is my best friend. I am a rock, and he is the shore, smoothing down my rough edges and gently pushing me out of the hole I've gotten stuck in. I am a bird, and he is the wind, helping me soar higher than I thought I could. He is my brother of bond, my partner in crime. Just because we aren't romantic doesn't mean the bond is any "less." I still love him! I LOVE MY BRO!!!! RAHHHHG
oh that is so real. Having a dairy allergy sucks, but god DAMN do vegans know how to cook. One has not known true happiness until they've had some kickass vegan ice cream and apple pie (´˘ -˘ 人)
Several "silent protagonist" type adventurers are getting on the guilds nerves with their refusal to speak, so in an attempt to teach them a lesson the guild leadership forces them to team up. Much to the guilds annoyance they all manage to work together flawlessly in spite of never speaking.
