I made a post Abt this concept agess ago which I can't be assed to go and find but the angst mannn

Will being so vulnerable, so detached from Mike that the mindflayer is able to garner control and tries to get him to be in Billy's role (oversee the creation of the mindflayers physical form and ensure things go smoothly) but Will breaks free and ends up in the upside down again (hiding in plain sight, some deep rooted instinct through the hive, being chased by the other flayed and cornered in the tunnels, or blacks put and has no idea how he ends up there)

Everyone thinks Will was one of the flayed that became a part of the mindflayer. Mike lays awake at night remembering that fight. It literally haunts him.

Meanwhile Will lays awake thinking about that fight. It also haunts him but for different reasons.

I started this piece back in March, and I initially hoped to get it done by the end of April. Welllllll it ended up taking a month longer!! Finally finished it at the end of May, and now I'm sharing it publicly at the start of June! Super super excited and relieved to finally have it done, now I can relax and start some other byler/st projects :D I've got a lot that I wanna do, I just couldn't bring myself to draw too much else until I got this piece done.

Been busy with some big projects but had some time to squeeze in this little doodle :> I thought it'd be fun to try drawing Mike and Will as Boris & Conny characters! I turned Will into a wombat and Mike into a maned wolf :D their shapes suited the characters super well hehe
