LOL HELPPP I was screenshotting frames of "The New Toy" for WOY Wiki but I accidentally left my Wacom on, which shows my desktop background.
Which is... my fanart.
So, you've got Hater talking about how to woo Lord Dominator, meanwhile underneath that, HIS MOST HATED ENEMY IS FLIRTING WITH HER 😭😭😭
I'm currently drawing something cute, and while thinking my cute thoughts, I remembered this cute gif I made last year.
Enjoy.
Wander Over Yonder Lost Media
For the most part, Wander Over Yonder content is well-documented, since its original run overlaps with the social media age. I've found a relative abundance of content to catalog for Wander Over Yonder Wiki.
However, this is still a fairly obscure cartoon, and one of its most notable examples of rare and lost media are the animatics at the end of every episode.
Today, I created a page about them on the Lost Media Wiki, where I wrote:
"In the US, 11-minute episodes were coupled together and filled a 22-minute time slot. At the end, an animatic related to one of the two episodes would play with end credits. Dave Thomas, supervising director and co-producer of Wander Over Yonder, described having '15 and 30 second versions of the end credits' per episode.[1] It is unclear whether that means each of the 79 animatics have a shortened and extended version, in which case many of those are lost. In some international countries, 11-minute episodes were not coupled together and aired individually. There are 36 animatics created for stand-alone 11-minute airings that were never televised within the US. High-quality English dubs of these are rare."
Fortunately, Season 1 has all 39 of its end tags preserved across multiple platforms in decent quality. "The Day" is the exception, with only a low-quality recording available.
However, the collection of Season 2 animatics is incomplete. Out of 40 episodes, 13 end tags are only available in quality ranging from mediocre to poor. Among those, the original English dubs of "The Fremergency Fronfract", "The Black Cube", and "The Sick Day" animatics are completely lost.
Season 2 end tags in English that aren't lost, but lack a high-quality version are:
"The Wanders"
"The Loose Screw"
"The Cool Guy"
"The Rager"
"The Matchmaker"
"The Secret Planet"
"The Family Reunion"
"The Legend"
"The Hot Shot"
"The Search for Captain Tim"
"The Sick Day"
Another example of Wander Over Yonder lost media is development art. We'll probably never know how much hasn't been documented online, but there's at least two suspected cases.
Lord Dominator has plenty of concept art for her armored form by Ben Balistreri, and some early out-of-suit concepts by Alex Kirwan. A lot of it is visible in this old photo from inside Disney TVA:
Upon closer inspection, however, I noticed a few out-of-suit concepts that I've never found anywhere online. If you compare them to the collection on WOY Wiki, none of them are an exact match.
Additionally, it's worth speculating about Wander Over Yonder's most famous lost media, its third and final season. Although it never officially entered development, Craig McCracken talked about pitching it to Disney TVA. Dave Thomas and Frank Angones had a lot to say as well, mentioning a planned opening scene, rough episode ideas, a new threat, and "possible endings for all the mains", just to name a few.
Knowing all of that, it's extremely likely Craig and the team had some early material, in the form of writings or concept art, in order to pitch Season 3 to Disney TVA. Outside of the Star Nomad illustration and a still frame of Monkey Boy, what and how much was made remains a mystery.
all 7 Deathstar shippers were in attendance for this content poll on the main blog. very good.
Lord Dominator Fanart I Saved on Pinterest Tierlist
I tried to rank all of my Pins of Dominator, because I'm lonely and bored, just like her!!!
Obviously, my ranking isn't based on subjective tastes, it's 100% objective fact. And I am clearly trying to slander these artists and take wrongful credit for their work, too.
Frogkicks' Totally Super Serious Shipping Tierlist (made at 1AM)
this is a personal and direct attack on your very being and you should be offended. shipping is life or death, didn't you know that? you smell-nice grass toucher?
banjo? banjo.
This is a simple thing I thought about a long time ago. Everybody knows the scene in "I'm the Bad Guy" where Dominator yanks the banjo out of Wander's hands and smashes it, right?
Have you... considered the implication, though?
After Dominator blasts some Watchdogs into a cage, you can see him carrying it as if he's prepared to play something. Meaning... he was about to start singing in the middle of her song.
Can you imagine an alternate version with extra duet lyrics? The main protagonist and the main villain? What would Wander say? You could still have Dominator destroy his banjo to shut him up. I think it would further emphasize how unnegotiable she is, too.
Although, the song is perfect as-is, and perhaps Wander's style of singing might've been too jarring against hers.
my buddy watched me draw the most canonically accurate depiction of Hater and Peepers on a whiteboard
and this 2 minute doodle is ok I guess 🙄
then i drew a deer and i was told to put a cape on it...?
trying to cook something big,,,
but until then, look at the shoddy sketches I drew for a friend to explain how/when Wander proposed to Dominator
Almost a year ago, I made this. I nearly cried laughing. I sent it to a buddy, she laughed. I sent it to another buddy, he laughed too.
I don't know why I never showed it here for all of you to laugh at...
POLL: Lord Dominator's Fate in Season 3?
Dominator was supposed to be a "big part of the Season 3 plan." That begs the question: If it had aired, would her character arc lead her to be "Wanderized" and redeemed like Hater? Or, is she doomed to be a bully forever, no matter what happens?
What's YOUR opinion? Try to vote based on what you think is most likely, not what you want to happen.
By the Season 3 Finale, Dominator Would've Been...
Redeemed and no longer evil, flawed at worst
Still evil, but less evil, and clearly will be "Wanderized" someday
Still evil and her future growth is left ambiguous
Irredeemable, still evil, but less horrible than during Season 2
Irredeemable and still as horrible as during Season 2
No opinion
Sylvia bashing her head into a wall resonates with me deeply so i made it into a low-res GIF
The End of the Galaxy is OK and all, but they should've played Spongebob music over Dominator seething and having the worst time of her life
I was searching for production material to add to my development art page on Wander Over Yonder Wiki, and I found traces of a scrapped scene for "The Breakfast" on @alcornstudios!
Hater and Wander appear to be drying themselves off after taking showers. Hater rips a towel on his lightning horns/antenna, and Wander...

HE SO CAT GUYS!!! KITTY!!!
a random twitter post I don't know anything about showed up on my tumblr feed and i took it as divine inspiration
Lord Dominator IS NOT canonically a lesbian!! Misinformation of the century, it was just a little headcanon by a random crew member, I’m so tired of this weak argument, and you can headcanon anything on anyone but stop treating it as fact!!
I was NOT expecting somebody to come out and say this today. I started drawing Deathstar nearly a year ago, and you're the first shipper I've personally seen state this publicly. I want to back you up.
Dominator is not canonically a lesbian. Although it's possible ND Stevenson would've made her lesbian if it was up to them, it wasn't up to them. We know that, because they said so themselves. In fact, the evidence to argue for it being subjective is far more convincing.
Dave Thomas and Frank Angones spoke about shipping and sexualities years before ND Stevenson's livestream in 2020. I combed through both of their Tumblr blogs and screenshotted over 140 answers. Among them was Frank's long rant about nothing in the show invalidating "anyone's AUs, OCs, theories, headcanons, and, yes, even ships," Frank telling someone he doesn't judge if they ship Wander and Dominator, and Dave outright saying it was up to an asker whether characters were straight or otherwise.
That's not even everything. Sometimes, I consider writing a comprehensive post about it, showing all the screenshots that make bullying Deathstar shippers inexcusable. However, I don't really see the point. We don't need to explain ourselves to ship Deathstar, and if the handful of people harassing us were open to reading it, they wouldn't be harassing us in the first place.
If you dislike or hate Deathstar, and don't slander people who like or love it, thank you. This message was not for you.
