I actually really like the term genderqueer, because the only thing it specifies about your gender is that it's queer in some way. Does that mean you're nonbinary? Binary trans? Cis with some freaky cool gender presentation stuff going on? None of those or all of those? It doesn't matter and I think that's beautiful.

Strange racists and homophobes on the internet seem to have access to an alternate way cooler version of TV than me. "every white character on TV is in an interracial relationship" "every show has a gay couple in it" "main characters keep having to secretly be bisexual and nonbinary" "every show has gratuitous full frontal nudity" like damn promise?? This has been on my mind recently so I wanted to make a post about it. I live in America, and everything happening recently with the government makes me so much more thankful to have a public library. so: go support your local library! Here are a couple ways you can do that:

Seems obvious, but check out books! You can check out so many books and checking out books, whether or not you read them, shows the libraries that they are being used and they will get more funding.

Study there! The library has so many chairs and tables and is a great way to help you focus for a test or project. A few libraries will even let you reserve a private study room.

Use the internet. Many public libraries have computers that can be used for research or just general web use. They also have public wi-fi.

Check out cds or movies! Many libraries have collections of movies or movies that are free to borrow, so if you have the tech for that go check them out!

Go to local events. Some libraries have bulletin boards that talk about community groups such as book clubs, social groups, or workshops.

Print papers. Libraries typically have color printers and a library card user can get a few pages a week for free.

Look online. A library card gives you access to online movies, magazines, and tons of books, so if you can't make it to your library for any reason check out their website!

Safe places to hang out. Libraries are warm and have public restrooms, so they are a great place to go if you need to wait somewhere or have to leave your residence for the day.

Getting a library card is free and helps you support free accessible information in your community!
