Princess Elizabeth photographed hugging her pet corgi, Dookie, at her family home in London, 1936. Dookie was a Pembroke Welsh Corgi purchased by Prince Albert, Duke of York (later King George VI). He was the first Pembroke Welsh Corgi to become a member of the Royal Household and began The Royal Family's long association with the breed.

6th May 2023 is a date that has gone down in history. At Westminster Abbey, almost seventy years after Elizabeth II, Charles was crowned King of the United Kingdom, becoming Charles III. A moment awaited for a lifetime, which marked the fulfilment of a journey that began in 1952, when he became heir to the throne.

The ceremony followed an ancient ritual, rich in meaning and unchanged over the centuries: the anointing, the most sacred and private moment, the placing of St Edward's Crown, the presentation of the sceptre and the orb, symbols of the power and responsibility of the Sovereign.
