I live in Paris, not Milan, sorry, I can't help you with that. As for roommates though, I would say email Marangoni and tell them to let you know if anyone else is looking for roommates, that's how I found mine.

Hello, as a Marangoni Paris alumni, I was satisfied with my studies. I was not accepted so easily, because I had to pass an English test with a required score. Now I work in the communication field and what I've learned at Marangoni is very useful every day in my professional life.I find you hard in your words, because indeed we also encountered some small organizational problems (as in all schools), but overall I'm happy to have studied at Marangoni and this is the case also for my classmates.

I think I did not say anything unfair, I only said the school did not meet my expectations and that I, personally, am not satisfied. I also stated how I know many many people who are indeed perfectly fine with the school and love it. I'm pretty sure that for future students it's good to hear an opinion that isn't all about how great Marangoni is, but which describes the possible disadvantages. I'm sorry if you found anything I wrote offensive, but that's just my opinion.

Irnál nekem a marangonirol par infot?!

Persze. Hát az van, hogy az én szakom szar. Legalábbis nekem. Én azt gondolom borzasztó amatőr és szervezetlen, ezenkívül komolytalan és nincsenek elvárások nagyon. Ellenben a design és a styling szakok, amikbe a barátnőim révén elég jól belelátok, azok jók. Design szakon nagyon profi szakmabeliek a tanárok, styling szakon nagyon jó feladatokat kapnak. Maga az intézmény összességében eléggé olasz, értsd, kicsit káosz van és sok esetben maguk sem tudják mi az elvárás, viszont hatalmas plusz, hogy a londoni és a párizsi campuson angol szakon végezve dupla diplomát adnak a Manchaster Metropolitan-nel közösen és ezen szakokon maga a vizsgáztatás és a szervezés Manchasterből van irányítva, ezáltal kevésbé szervezetlen, mint sok más dolog a Marangoniban. Nem nagyon tudom, mi mást mondhatnék még, ha leírod, melyik szak érdekel és mikre vagy még kíváncsi, szívesen mondok többet :)

You guys are amazing! Just a few more questions, how are the apartments there? This would be my first time living on my own and I'm not sure how the financial part is gonna work out. Did you work at all while there? Are there a lot of jobs available for someone who doesn't speak fluent italian? And how did you learn the language because I'm going to say i should go ahead and get a head start.

Well we live in Paris, I don’t know if it’s entirelly the same in Italy (I can give you the FB name of a girl who studies at Marangoni in Milan if you want) but in Paris it was pretty difficult to find an apartment (I couldn’t have done it without help from a family friend for example) but Marangoni helps with that if you email them. Prices are similar in Milan than in Paris, as far as I know, and I think around 1000-1200 Euros a month should be enough, including rent and everything else. As for working, my friend who does styling did work for a month as a babysitter before school started in October and she wants to do a paid internship in the Summer to be able to pay for staying in Europe for herself but otherwise nobody I know at Marangoni works, simply because it’s really difficult to fit a job into your schedule (and I know it’s the same in Milan). The language part, well honestly I’ve been living here for 7 months now and I still can’t say I speak French because you can totally live in English anywhere in Europe, but I actually heard Tinder dating helps for example lol. Let me know if you need any help or the contact info of the girl I know at Marangoni in Milan or anything else :)

Hi, I am currently looking to study at IM in London and I have been reading your Tumblr post and answers about the school and I am aware that you went to the one in Paris but I just wondered how you felt on how the school was run and stuff like that because the entry requirements are ridiculously low and everywhere I look people have completely opposite opinions on the school some people say that it is the best school to pick and some say it's the worst so I was just wondering how You felt?

If you read my answers, you can probably see I'm not a huge fan of Marangoni. I'm not sure if it's just me, my expectations or whatever, but for me, it's a huge disappointment. As for others, it's weird because I can see that all of my classmates are also disappointed by how unorganized and badly ran the school is but they still seem to like the program and feel like it actually gives them what they want, whereas I literally think it's a waste of my time, not to mention money. So if you ask me, Marangoni is not a good school FOR ME, I think compared to other universities it's horribly unprofessional.

It's not that I don't like being a fashion student, it's Marangoni that I really don't like. Let's just say it did not meet my expectations. Then again, it might just be me, so do not rely solely on my opinion.

So you wont be studying fashion anymore?

Well not really, see, my Marangoni experience basically taught me that if this is what being a fashion student is like, I don’t want to be one. I’m pretty sure I will have the chance to study something related to the fashion industry later in life, like I can go to NYU to get a Master’s in luxury marketing, but I’ll do economics & marketing undergrad.

I understand. I also believe that fashion Istitute of technology in New York and Parson are óne of the only fashion schools with a 'future'. D&G left IM after 3 months too because they couldn't teach him anything 😆 Anyway, good luck with your new uni and thanks :)

What about esmod , do you know anyone who attends esmod or if its a good school?

I don't know anyone from Esmod, but one of my teachers is teaching there as well and he says it's basically the same as Marangoni...I don't know if it's good or not, maybe a tad more organized than Marangoni.

Why wouldn't you recommend the school? and wow thats alot of money to pay a year😂 but are you having fun and learning things? Also how do you like France? (sorry for all the questions)

Okayyy so first thing's first, I can't be honest on here because it would come off as "talking shit" about Marangoni publicly, so I'm just gonna say that I think the school isn't worth the shitload of money my family's paying for it and that I feel like every minute I spend at Marangoni is a total waste of time. I am having fun though, not at Marangoni, it has nothing to do with it, but in Paris I have an amazing time. As for learning things, well...kinda.I love France, above all Paris, a lot, that's why even though I'm transferring to another school next year, I'm staying in the city :)

I want to know how you first day at fashion school was like, i mean, what did you do? How were your first classes?? and all that stuff. Thanks :)

Well we had orientation, they told us everything we need to know about the school, etc. We only had classes from Day 2.Also, they pretty much scared us to death the first day - they told us we can’t skip classes, no sick days except with a justification from a doctor, furthermore, they told us we even need to get justification from the public transportation company is we’re late from class because of the metro… Needless to say none of these are actually true, I’ve been skipping half my classes and I didn’t get into any trouble yet.

How are you paying for college? And did you learn French yet? I'm planning to go when I graduate but I feel like it really expensive and hard to get accepted in!

My parents are paying for it, no loans. To be completely honest, it's pretty difficult to learn French here because it's totally possible to live 100% in English in Paris...but of course my French is improving as I hear people around me speak French and all that, I'm just not practicing too much myself.It was not at all difficult to get into the college I'm going to, but yet again I wouldn't recommend the school I'm going to...but that's another story. I wish you good luck for your graduation and let me know if you need any help with applications x

Have you made any friends at your school? Are people friendly? And what's your night life like. Are the party bad?

Yes I have, I have a few really good friends from day 1, there are some pretty cool people at Marangoni, though I'm honestly not a huge fan of this all-girl school situation. The nightlife is great in Paris, expensive but great.
