As we wind down the last several hours of National Infertility Awareness Week, I’d like to send out a small piece of advise. Mother’s Day is fast approaching. Be kind and do not forget those of us who are trying to get pregnant and can’t, as well as those who have lost their pregnancies. We are all mothers in our hearts. Some of us are mothers of angels. So send your friend a card. It may be a hard day, but it is harder to not be acknowledged at all. Until next time…. Prayers and baby dust to all you hopefuls!!

Just a heads up…. If you have ever had a Histerosalpigogram (HSG) have no fear if your RE asks you to do a Saline Sonohisterogram (SIS).
I rated that HSG pain at a 10/10. A real 10. Not a patient 10. I’m talking blinding, nausea inducing pain that left me with my head in a bucket for and hour and a half afterward. NEVER EVER EVER ALLOW YOUR OB TO PERFORM A HSG WITHOUT BEING PREMEDICATED! (If they don’t give you orders, at least take some ibuprofen or naproxen before hand) The SIS was just barely uncomfortable. Less pain than a PAP. Just a helpful tidbit so you don’t have to nearly have a panic attack if you go in for one (like I did). 😉
Also, my test came back fine. No scar tissue, polyps, or fibroids in my uterus! IVF is in my future!
I wanted to post this to speak out. Tomorrow starts National Infertility Awareness Week. I want to tell those who are struggling silently that you are NOT alone in this. I stand with you. Lets us stand together and support those like us.
Infertility shouldn't be the taboo subject that it is!! I'm trying to open a dialogue about this. Feel free to post stories, questions, comments, or anything related here.

Did you know LGBT couples are more likely to adopt older, children of color and disable children than straight couples? LGBT couples tend to adopt ‘undesired’ children more (basically kids no one else wants.)
This is so important because I remember being in the system and being so scared that I would never be adopted or loved or whatever and seriously just fucking let them, take the fear out of finding a family

12 Days Post IUI
I feel like I’m going crazy!!! 2 days until I test! I have no idea if this is it or not. I’ve been symptom spotting all week (Like I do every month). But, I really need some damn good news. Please let me have some good news!
I have sworn off pregnancy testing until exactly 2 weeks after my IUI. I refuse to even buy HPT until tomorrow, because I know I cannot trust myself this close to the day. I nearly found myself tempted to pee on the sticks in my back yard today!
