A quick look at 6 weeks worth of spreads in my friend’s happy planner! I had to cut off one because of some personal info, but you’re not missing much. I thought these all came out so great! She loves them all, and I love helping out! Stay tuned for an update on Alexa’s planner! Y'all have a good week! Happy plannin’!
This week in my Happy Planner! Not quite finished, still need to fill in the boys' lunchbox menu at the bottom and some extra to do's. Decided to celebrate St. Patrick's all week! But otherwise, nothing too special this week, EXCEPT! we will finally begin our first ever season of TBall! Joshua and I have signed up to coach a team ourselves, and we are so excited, nervous, scared! But I think it's going to be great for our family. I'll keep y'all posted on that! Wish us luck! Have a great week, everyone! Happy plannin'! 💋
How on earth are we already in the 2nd week of March?!
Spring Break is here for my boys! And if I wasn't already going to lose sleep because of it, we're having some unexpected work done on our house. As our luck would have it, we just so happen to have discovered over the weekend that we have some faulty old pipes that are now having to be replaced.
Let me tell you, not only are school holidays hard on a night shifter, but throw in some under-the-house renovations on top of it, during your work week, with your kids home, when you need to get some sleep, and that my friends is a recipe for a very tired, grumpy momma.
Luckily for me, my week is not a lost cause. Tucker's grandmother (from his mother's side) happened to be in the area for a couple of days and asked to have him, and my sweet sister-in-law was happy to keep Elliott for a few hours, even though she has 3 kids of her own, and another baby she takes care of full time. I don't know how she does it, but she is a blessing, that's for sure! As for me, well there definitely will be no sleeping while work is being done on my house. A good dose of Zquil couldn't block out jackhammers and diggers, but my mother was nice enough to offer me the guest room for some shut eye. I don't have any idea what I'm going to do with days like today once we move away. A bridge we will cross when we get there, I suppose. Stay tuned for that update!
Anywho, for this week's planner spread I used that paper pad from Hobby Lobby that I mentioned in my last post, and I am crazy about this blush pink and gold layout! Everything is pretty usual, except that I dont have to pack any lunch boxes this week.
Thanks for tuning in! Have a great week, y'all!
Last week in my Happy Planner.
I can’t believe I let this sit in my drafts for over a week! I’ve been really off my game lately, just exhausted all the time. Be on the lookout for some beginnings of a health and fitness journey! I am well overdue for so many adjustments. I started Daily Burn a month ago, and did great at first, but quickly fell off track. It’s time to get serious! Wish me luck y'all!
As for last week’s spread, I had been dying for a black and gold theme, and this did not disappoint! I used some sticker washi from MAMBI that I purchased at Hobby Lobby, as well as a few sheets from a paper pad that also came from Hobby Lobby(just wait until you see how I used this pad for this week!), a sheet from a Heidi Swapp paper pad I purchased at Michael’s(could not find it to link for yall), and all the usual stickers for laundry, pay day, tv shows, etc. Nothing too extravagent or new; I’m a creature of habit, mostly.
Also, I found a page flag puncher on clearance at Target! Obviously, I couldn’t pass it up, so the flags you see here that I used to track the weather were all personally hand-punched by me! How cool is that! Maybe now I’ll save a little bit of cash on flag stickers. (I’m not fooling anyone, I’m still going to buy them)
Keep your eyes peeled, I’ll be back on here shortly with this week’s planner spread!
Oh! and later this week, expect to get a little update on my coworkers’ planners as well. They have had some absolutely gorgeous spreads lately! Can’t wait to share them with y'all!
See you soon! Happy Plannin!
Hello hello, March!
I'm very pleased with my March spread in my Happy Planner.
I generally use these pages to mark bills and paydays, as well as my kids' visitation schedules, and any major events.
I generally use all the same funtional stickers and washi tapes on every monthly spread, and then decorate according to the time of year, holidays, etc.
One of the first things I do when planning my monthly pages, is mark my kids' visitation schedules. This makes it SO much easier to get an idea how each weekend will go, and what kind of plans we can and cannot make for those days. I use a thin blue washi tape from a Hobby Lobby set to mark the weekends Elliott visits his dad, and a green thin washi tape from the same set to mark the days Tucker visits his mother.
The next step is marking paydays and bills. I love the money stack stickers from SweetKawaiiDesign on Etsy in both the regular and "itty bitty" sizes to mark my paydays, my fiance's paydays, and child support deposit days. I also love the "itty bitty monthly bill icons" from SweetKawaiiDesign to mark my rent, electric, city, phone, and wifi bills, as well as her "itty bitty credit card stickers" for all those darn credit card bills.
Then I have some small, multicolored dot stickers from LIbbieAndCo on Etsy that I really love. I use a few of the colors to mark certain bills. For example: the small green dot mark's when our Geico bill is due, and orange is for Joshua's Loot Crate subscription, etc. I also use the other colors of dot stickers in my weekly spreads for laundry coding. So nifty!
This month we had a few small bills to pay that are more temporary, like some work done on Joshua's car, and a doctor visit for which we've finally recieved a bill. To mark those, I used some teeny tiny flags from BelloXoPlanning on Etsy. These flags are seriously the tiniest, cutest little things ever! perfect to mark a bill without taking up too much space!
The owl sticker is from Dollar Tree, and I like to use owls to mark school events because the school mascot is an owl.
The glitter washi tapes came from Target, I believe, and the rainbow washi came from Michael's. The gold one I found at Dollar General, but I have mixed feelings about it beacuse it has a texture like that of duct tape. I'm not sure why, but it is off putting.
Welp, that'll do it for this post!
Hope yall's March is off to a great start!
Happy plannin'!
This week in my Happy Planner! To be completely honest, this is definitely not one of my favorite spreads. I want to say it’s too “busy,” but most of my spreads are. Maybe just not the right combo of colors/patterns? Not sure. But it’s still totally functional, and mostly cute, so it will do! Busy busy busy week! Looking at this now, I’ve left off a couple things that I need to squeeze in here and there. Wish me luck! Hope y'all are having a great week! Happy plannin’! ✌🏼💋
This week in my happy planner! I’m obsessed with this peony floral washi from the MAMBI website. It’s looking like another busy week for me, but it’s so cute! I used an assortment of stickers from a few different etsy shops, as well as a some Dollar Tree finds, and a MAMBI sticker book. Hope your week is off to a great start! Happy plannin’! 💋
My boys had their Valentines Day parties at school today, and I have been trying to get this post up since yesterday morning! Something else that I absolutely LOVE to do, is make cake pops! And my boys, they just looooove to eat them! So for their valentine exchange at school, my sweet babies asked me to make cakepops to give away to each of their friends. I was thrilled! Not only were they a very cheap gift to give, but also one that is special and homemade. Overall, I probably spent just under $10 or so. Cake mix and frosting are cheap, the sticks are paper straws from the Target Dollar Spot that I cut in half(making my total cost for sticks just $2!), candy melts I had on hand(but cost less than $2 with a coupon anyway), and a bit of sprinkles. The tags I made myself with scrap paper and washi tape. Put it all together and boom! Awesome valentines for about 40 kids(20 per class for each of my boys) with a few extras for teachers as well as my baby boy, Elliott, shown here enjoying the last extra pop for his after school snack! Have an awesome weekend you guys! My boys and I are about to dive into making some more goodies for our extended family for this weekend! If I get a chance, I’ll post about those too! ❤️💋
You guys. I. AM. SO. OBSESSED. with this week’s layout! 😍 I used some scrapbook paper from a MAMBI kit I purchased at Hobby Lobby, washi tapes from Michaels, heart stickers from Hobby Lobby, heart checklists from CheerfulPlannerGirl on Etsy, a couple good finds at Dollar Tree, and various other small stickers from shops like SweetKawaiiDesign, Libbie&Co, and SweetAvasPaper on Etsy. I cannot get enough!! Enjoy your Valentine’ Week! Happy plannin’! 💋
Wednesday nights at work are always my favorite. Every shift is double scheduled, so I get to work with 3 wonderful ladies, rather than just my regular over-lapping partner. Anywho, one of those ladies is a very sweet girl named Alexa, who is also a planner! I love helping her decorate her planner as well, and she was kind enough to let me snap a couple quick pictures of this week and next week before she completely filled everything in. I am OBSESSED with her layout for next week! I hope my own spread comes out just as nice, as I’ll be using some of the same materials. I am so excited! Be on the look out for that post Sunday night/Monday morning. Have a great weekend and happy plannin’!
My February monthly and 1st week spread. I feel like my monthly spread always looks a little haphazard and sloppy. But that's ok, it's really just another excuse to use washi and decorative stickers after I've tracked all my bills and important events haha! For my weekly spread, I started off with some scrap book paper and very little direction. But I think it all came together very nicely, even though it was nothing near what I had briefly imagined before starting! Here's hoping I can stick to my to do's and new work out routine I'm trying. Cross your fingers for me! Happy Monday, and happy plannin'!
A very close friend/coworker of mine was kind enough to let me take a few pictures of some of my favorite spreads in her planner. She’s a pretty busy woman, so planning really helps to keep her focused and on track. She’s not much on decorating, but loves the look. So I always volunteer to jazz up her pages a bit, and we both really enjoy it. It’s an extra creative outlet for me and it really helps to put her in a positive mindset to get things done. Plus you really can’t beat seeing one of your closest friends light up over some adorable washi tapes and inspirational quote stickers, and say “oh wow I love it!! I can’t wait to fill in next week!” It’s the little things, people! Enjoy y'all’s weekend! (Anyone else’s weekends start on Thursday?) Happy plannin’!
do more for yourself :))
So. Much. Washi. 😍 And this is just what I carry with me lately 😅 I have so many more not shown. I'm obsessed!
My planner spread for the week of January 25-31, 2016 in my MAMBI Happy Planner I used the Aztec Tribal set I purchased from PopsDesignStudio on Etsy, as well as a few other stickers from SweetKawaiiDesign, SweetAvasPaper, SweetPaperPlans, Libbie&Co, as well as MAMBI sticker books and the Target Dollar Spot.
