My daughter graduated from high school last night. She's got autism, and her schooling was a bumpy road as we sought the right services to help her learn to self-regulate and grow.
But we made it, and last night she earned her diploma. And in typical "her" fashion, she waved excitedly to the crowd as she crossed the stage. 😆
My son--in the band, so sitting apart from my husband and me--texted me later that he clapped so hard for her his hands hurt. 💜
Surreal that I've got a kid who's a high school graduate, now. She did it! 🎉🎉
