“Matthias, stop the anonymous hook ups. Do you know how dangerous those are? Yes, sometimes a Drell at a bar gives you the eye but you got to know them. Avoid any interspecies diseases. C’mon, don’t make me keep an eye on you. It is so easy to put a tracker on people these days.” Her voice was stern, serious even for the first time in ages but with Matt’s careless behavior at least one of them had to play the role. “As for me,” Her voice changing like the flip of a switch back to normal, “I would like to but very hard to find a man who can put up with my.. trade.”
“Don’t worry. I’ll be careful. Thanks for the concern, Mommy.” Matthias couldn’t have possibly answered in a more dickish way. His tone wasn’t even too light anymore either. He knew he should be glad to have someone caring for him, someone that had an eye out for him. Except he didn’t. Matthias was a man, easily annoyed of any form of criticism. His mood dropped immensely, yet he tried not to show it too much. His hand was like glued to his glass as he let it dance on its edge. “I guess not everyone’s into criminals, huh?”
