COMPOSURE— Shattered in pieces on the floor is the mask of the man you thought you knew. Before you now is a giggling mess, a beautiful, rare thing that previously was thought to be an impossibility. Take it in before he picks up the pieces.

You stumbled upon a party that was not meant for you. Still, if you're polite, Gorgeous Gary Golden himself will let you stay for dinner.

"God's blood, what on earth are you?"
...One of Dr. Drayne's first utterances in the game, dripping with contempt and loathing for the yankee doodle before him. Iconic - and historical!
The good doctor here is showing his age with this oath - God's blood - which was used from the Middle Ages up to the early modern period (1500-1700). Dr. Drayne is a 1594 baby, so he would have been very familiar with this oath and unafraid to use it when suitably rattled. People in those days would curse on God or Christ's body parts rather than break the Second Commandment - not to take the Lord's name in vain oaths. In this case, it is a reference to the blood Christ spilled during his crucifixion, as well as the wine of the Eucharist. I doubt very much that Dr. Drayne cares about offending God these nights though lol.
This oath was often used in its minced form - 'sblood - so the doctor using it in its raw form shows just how angry he is. Or rather, how absolutely pants-shitting scared he was (and masking it with anger as a defense mechanism). He had just barely managed escape the jaws of death after all!
