Hiro’s Drawings at NYCC

I don’t remember anyone pointing this out at the time this was released (or maybe I was taking a break from tumblr at the time). When I was looking online for a certain FT thing, I found this. She’s definitely looking at Natsu and those hearts are nearby her head, showing they belong to her. Just thought this was cute ^^ 

Even if it was already pointed out, then take this as a reminder that this exists.

There’s a lot out there right now. So many emotions for what happened in the last chapter of Fairy Tail. I do want to say this for those are a bit worried for what happened with NaLu or don’t think it was canon. As much, seriously, as much as I wanted a confession or a kiss, it would’ve just.. not felt right if it was put in. It would’ve felt as if Hiro put it in for the fans. I’m glad he did what he wanted and to be truthful, I am satisfied with the ending. Already, it’s obvious to see how Lucy feels towards Natsu, to the amount of times she blushed this chapter AND she was ready to kiss him (not to mention, everything that’s happened in all the other 544 chapters). If Natsu had gone ahead and done the same and followed, wouldn’t it have felt a bit, OOC? Natsu isn’t as open with those types of things while Lucy is. Hiro expressed that here. I don’t believe Natsu is that knowledgeable in that field and can’t tell that what he feels is love towards her. I’m in no way saying he’s an idiot, he’s a smart character, but in the field of love, I’m pretty sure that’s one area that could still use some work :P. In the end, I can safely say it was 100% canon and that’s all I needed to know. I’m forever happy with how it ended. It ended to how I think the characters would’ve actually handled things. It’s obvious Natsu and Lucy feel love towards one another through everything they’ve been through and what has happened these past 11 years inside the manga. Their adventure by each other’s side will never end. So for all of your worrying or feeling sad/mad because there wasn’t a confession, it’s canon, don’t worry :) And who knows! Hiro stated the series isn’t finished. He could totally bring in some ovas, omakes, or epilogue to finish things up (and possibly show that development we’ve all been waiting for with NaLu).

In the end, while he may not have given us fans the confession we wanted, I think we should still see things in a positive light. It wouldn’t have felt right to throw in everything at the end like that and I think he did it in a subtle way where it gave us enough hope, but also kept to how the characters would’ve handled it themselves.

This is totally just my opinion on the chapter and what went on, so you’re free to feel how you want on the chapter! I just wanted to spread a little positivity and hope to those who were disappointed at first like me, that we didn’t get a NaLu confession if I could!
