You think Bravely Third could be a Switch title or a 3DS game?
Well, for one we haven’t heard about any B3 news ever since B2 came out over a year and a half ago, which is longer than it took them to release the first B2 news after BD’s release. I can think of various reasons why it might be possible for B3 to be a Switch title, but at the same time I’m unsure they’d switch platforms like this for a game which is a direct sequel to BD and B2, since it could throw off their current audience, which is 3DS players.
I’m absolutely uncertain what it’s going to be, but I can see any of both things happening.
With this we’re done with all the story scenes from the tutorials!
Some notes before you scroll down:
-In the last scene, a character called “Alliance soldier” appears. In the introduction scene (that I’ve finally found the text of! Yaaay. I’ll translate that next) we are told of an Alliance with great military power that is born after the Fall of the crystals.
-The blue pendant that we are so used to seeing by now is here referred to as [想いの欠片], the “Fragment(s) of Feelings”. It could also be read as the Fragment of Thoughts, Emotions, and a bunch of other words, but given how the word 想い was used in B2nd, I’ve decided to go with “feelings”. Alternative name suggestions accepted.
And now, the translation. Enjoy!
-Battle tutorial quest-
Yew: You're the person who accepted my request, isn't that right?
Yew: My name is Yew Geneolgia. I'm a student at this academy.
Yew: I want to conduct some field investigation for my thesis, however there are monsters...
Yew: I certainly can't do this by myself.
Yew: But with someone as strong as you, this shall be easy.
Yew: Let us go at once! This way...
-After the battle-
Yew: Thank you so much! Thanks to you I've been able to complete my investigation.
Yew: I might need to put up some other requests to complete my thesis research.
Yew: So please, when the time comes, lend me your strength again.
Yew: If I have some time to spare I'll come help you as well.
Yew: Just give me a shout. Well then, see you!
-Back in the tent-
Rynne: You're back already...
Rynne: I've been looking into several things, but my efforts were fruitless...
Rynne: How did it go for you?
Rynne: Aha..., and? About the "Fragment of Feelings", has something changed?
MC: ...
Rynne: As I thought, there is no response...
Rynne: ...However, this stone is the only way for us to communicate with the time period we come from...
Rynne: We can't give up, we must continue trying to stablish a connection
MC: ...
Rynne: But we might as well allow ourselves to rest first...
Rynne: Come on, tomorrow will be a busy day too. Let's sleep.
-Job unlocking quest-
It starts with Esto, the girl from the quest booth, explaining the details of each quest. The scene text varies depending on the job you picked.
-Back in the tent-
Rynne: ...what's the matter? Why the confused face?
Rynne: Eh? Is that the Fragment of Feelings!?
Rynne: Th, this is...!?
MC: !!
???: Haven't you found them yet...?
Alliance soldier: Sir! The way is blocked by the fallen bookshelves and scattered books, we haven’t been able to make much progress.
Alliance soldier: The floor is unsteady in most of the area. It’s the same in the lower floor.
???: In this labirynthine archive engulfed in the most absolute darkness…
???: And right in the middle of enemy territory. Such timing…
???: Despite that, what could three people possibly have to do in such an ancient archive…
Rynne: ...this voice...
MC: ...
Rynne: Even though up until now we hadn’t been able to see anything…
Rynne: Maybe it’s because you have been completing this town’s quests…!? Huh! N- no, it couldn’t possibly be that…!!
