Perri swept her finger through the icing and gave him a grin, “The icing is the best part.” Then she popped it into her mouth and giggled, “Jingles, this is delicious. Where’d you get it from?”

“The bakery next to Planet Fitness,” he chuckled as he watched Perri devour the cupcake, “I don’t understand why they put a bakery next to a gym. Kind of defeats the purpose of fitness.”

Usually Hiccup kept his head down, eyes focused towards where he was walking. But he couldn’t help but glance over when he noticed the person next to him was eating, and found it a little odd that it was a cupcake. With how hot the weather was, he was just surprised that it wasn’t ice cream or something. “That’s fine.” He shrugged, feeling rather unlucky that the boy had noticed he had been looking. 

“They still had some left at the cafe if you want one,” he mused as he bit into the tiny cake, getting frosting on his upper lip, “but they’re popular. If you want one you should probably hurry.”

Perri laughed as Jack withheld his cupcake, “what about me?”

Jack couldn’t fight the smile that took over his lips as he heard Perri’s voice. “You’re an exception,” he held the cupcake out to her, “it’s strawberry.”

Jack had a strawberry cupcake in hand as he walked down the street. It was unbearably hot, but if he stuck to the shade it wasn't too bad. As he waited for the crosswalk light to change, he made eye contact with the person next to him.

"...I'm not sharing my cupcake."

Dimension Shift Bio || Jack Frost || 18 || ????

Jack Frost is a bit of a mystery to everyone around him. He’s not from the area, and nobody really knows where he came from. He was found in the forest surrounding Ilvermorny nearly drowned in a lake, still alive but only just. He was rushed to the hospital and flatlined for six and a half minutes, but the doctors miraculously managed to bring him back. The problem now? He can’t remember a single thing from before the accident. The hospital social workers tried to help them as best as they could, setting him up with a job at the local coffee shop and finding some affordable housing for him, but he’s still totally lost.

He has dreams, almost like flashbacks, of what he thinks is his life before the accident. He tries to decipher them, but he forgets them when he wakes up. it’s frustrating, starting a new life, but he has hope that one day his memory will return and he can go back home.

“Uh.. then why don’t we go make one! Dig a big hole and fill it with water, duh.” She grinned. “We can have it done by tomorrow if we get to working. Or I mean.. I have a tan to get done, and you can dig?” She stated with a bat of her eye lashes.

“Won’t the water be all dirty and gross if we just dig a hole in the ground and fill it with water?” Jack chuckled, “We’d just be making mud. If only there were a beach or something around here.”

Before Jack’s necklace, Perri had to remain indoors in front of an air-conditioner while the heat of the incoming summer raged on. However, with the necklace, she was able to enjoy the heat. She didn’t even feel like it was that hot. She just assumed it was the magic within the small snowflake that rested on her neck.

“Perri! It’s for you!” A housemate shouted toward the witch who sat in a chair curled up like a kitten with a book. Her short limbs uncoiled as she saved her place and used her wand to send it back to her bedroom. “Hey, Jack!” She said as she skipped to the door. “Going somewhere?” She asked as her finger motioned to the cooler in his hand.

“Hey, Snowflake!” Jack grinned and pushed his sunglasses up the bridge of his nose, “Yeah! Someone from the dueling club told me about a beach nearby, away from Adamsville and still within our barrier. Wanna come with me? I packed popsicles.”  

His blonde counterpart had seemed to be faring much better now with the necklace he gave her for Christmas, but he wasn’t sure if it would allow her to be outside in the warm summer sun long enough to enjoy a day at the beach.

summer lovin’ || frosted flakes

The summer heat had hit Ilvermorny with full force and Jack wasn’t too sure how he felt about it. On one hand, his love for snow and ice put a damper on things because his powers didn’t have as much strength in the immense warmth. However, he couldn’t argue how nice the summer sun felt on his skin. He had hoped that Ilvermorny would have a swimming pool on campus because they seemed to have everything else, but the mention of a beach nearby quelled that wish.

With a mini cooler filled with drinks, popsicles, sandwiches, and chips, Jack headed over to Horned Serpent house to pick up his favorite person: Perri. Since their encounter after Infinity War they had spent lots of time together, much to Jack’s liking. When he reached the house, he climbed the steps and knocked on the door.

"Ilvermorny should invest in a swimming pool," Jack groaned and wiped the sweat that beaded at his hairline, "this heat is ridiculous."

Perri blushed as she tugged at the sleeve of Jack’s sweater she wore. “Thank you,” she muttered, “for bringing me back and the water.” It was embarrassing to fall on ice. She was so accustomed to it. But she didn’t anticipate an attack and ice skating at the same time. Thankfully Jack was able to carry her back.

“It’s appreciated,” she whispered as her red cheeks reddened more. But at least Jack was just as red as she was. It made it less embarrassing. “I-I know what you mean…”

“You’re welcome,” Jack nodded and cleared his throat, silently hoping that his cheeks had returned to their normal color rather than the tomato red he had been sporting. He noticed her tugging on the sleeves of his sweatshirt and tried to hide his smile.

“You can, uh, you can keep it if you want,” Jack cleared his throat again, “it looks cute on you.”

Perri looked for her phone for the time but it was dead. “I don’t know. How did we get back? Are you okay? You,” she pointed to his hair, “your hair. Your magic. Do you have water? My head hurts.” Perri’s nerves were frayed as everything poured out all at once. She was so confused. One second she was fighting witch hunters and the next she was waking up in a bed with a guy. “Did you give me your sweatshirt?” She asked when she finally noticed that she was wearing more than she usually did.

“One question at a time, Snowflake,” Jack chuckled sleepily as he turned his head to look at Perri, “you slipped on the ice and hit your head, you passed out, so I carried you back to Ilvermorny. I’m okay, you are too. I can get you some water.” He got out of bed and went to his mini fridge and grabbed a bottle of water for Perri. He returned to her and sat on the edge of the bed.

“Yeah, I didn’t want you to get cold,” Jack nodded, “I know you have your condition and everything but my room is usually always really cold, and with your necklace I figured the shirt you have on underneath wouldn’t be enough. I would’ve taken you back to Horned Serpent but I wanted to get you in bed as quick as possible.” Jack paused for a second before his cheeks rouged red. He dragged his hand over his face with an awkward chuckle.

“Not like that,” he laughed awkwardly, “you were hurt. You needed to rest.”

“Well,” she nodded, “Jingles, yeah.” She looked toward where the hunters were coming from. “We’kk talk about it later.” She took his hand and started to run. While she was a goddess on skates, Perri was average on ice in sneakers. Two steps in and she lost her footing. Perri hit her head and was left unconscious with hunters coming to kill them.

Jack knew Perri had fallen when he felt a sharp tug on his arm, what he didn’t expect was for her to be knocked fully unconscious, “Shit,” he cursed and knelt down and scooped Perri into his arms before running for the border. When they were in the clear, he looked down at the girl unconscious in his arms and looked her over as best as he could. 

He carried her back to Ilvermorny and to his dorm and laid her on his bed. Jack pulled her shoes and socks off before grabbing a zip up hoodie from his closet and gently putting it on Perri. He knew she had a sensitivity to heat but his dorm was always kept cold due to his spirit state. Jack slipped his shoes off and laid next to Perri while keeping a respectable distant between them before nodding off to sleep.

Perri jolted awake. She didn’t know where she was but as she looked around she surmised that it was Jack’s room. “Jack?” She whispered shaking his arm, “pst, Jack?”

Jack was in the middle of a lovely dream involving an all you can eat pizza buffet when Perri shook him awake. "I'm awake," he woke with a start and rubbed his eyes sleepily, "what time is it?"

Perri wanted to respond to Jack but she was preoccupied with the hunter trying to choke her. She was pinned against the ground and the man was twice her size. Her fingers clawed around for something and grabbed a handful of the snow left behind by Jack’s blizzard. The icy powder flew into the hunter’s eyes and he let go. Perri quickly scurried from beneath him and got to her feet. “I’m okay, now.”

She tried to think back to her lessons with Hades. He told her never to hesitate. Kill or be killed. Hunters wouldn’t hesitate, why should she? It was much easier in the moment. She flung her second blade at the hunter and landed on the target. The man staggered back and looked from her to the knife in his chest before going down.

“Need help?” She ran next to Snowy Jack and tried to hide the smile on her face at his white hair and icy aesthetic.

A disc of ice hit another hunter in the jaw and knocked him out cold. Jack turned around to check on Perri and saw her coming towards him. In the chaos of everything he didn’t realize that his blonde counterpart was looking straight at him. His hand reached out to settle on her waist. “Right here, still snowy,” then he registered that she was looking at him, “...Perri, can you see me?”

Jack heard shouts in the distance and knew that they couldn’t stay there much longer. “We need to move, quick,” he took Perri’s hand and pulled her towards the edge of the forest before the additional hunters could get a glimpse of them.

Perri could see Jack as he transformed but she didn’t get to enjoy the sight. And she didn’t have time to tell him what happened. They didn’t have the time. The hunter was distracted by his buddy being trapped in the blizzard that he didn’t notice the witch heading his way.

The distraction worked until the man whipped around and hit Perri in the side. She staggered to the side before regaining her footing. “Aw, the little witch thinks she’s tough.” The man laughed before Perri dodged his next attempt at hitting her. She spun around behind him and buried the blade beneath his shoulder blade. It wasn’t a fatal blow but it would hurt just the same. “You bitch!” He flailed trying to get the blade out. Perri couldn’t help but think the guy was an idiot. Keeping it in was better than yanking it out.

Jack was grateful for the fact that there wasn’t more of the hunters than there already were. The blizzard managed to disorient the hunter Jack had aimed it but once Jack lunged for him it was like wrestling a bull. Jack wasn’t physically the strongest guy and that became apparent as he was slammed to the ground, but an ice spike to the hunter’s shoulder kept him from getting a blade in his heart. While the hunter pressed a hand to his shoulder wound, Jack reared back and elbowed him in the face before taking on another one.

“You alright, Snowflake?” He called back to Perri as he froze the ground underneath another hunter.

Perri already had the cold metal handle of her knife in her palm when Jack suggested she could run. She wasn’t running again. She sure as heck wasn’t running without Jack with her. “If you’re going to fight, then I’m going to fight.”

“Okay,” and with that, Jack felt the cold take over. He made sure to place a hand on Perri’s back to let her know he was still with her since she couldn’t see him in his spirit state. “I’m right here, just shifted. I got your back.” He formed a blizzard around one of the hunters so that it was harder for him to see before lunging at him.
