Fluff me up!
6. Our muses find an old abandoned tree house in the woods and decide to take refuge in it and share childhood stories.
//Okay this could either be cute or very very sad//
It was fun to be a kid for once..
Ebony and Reiga didn’t mean to waste so much time, but it happened anyway.
"When I was little-" Ebony started, leaning closer to him in the slightly cramped space. "My brothers and I would go outside in the summer, and stare at the sky, whether it be morning or night. I remember sitting on my older brother’s lap with Shade right beside me and counting the stars.” She smiled softly and closed her eyes for a moment, before turning to look at him.
"What about you? Did you ever do stuff like that..?"
"Oh..?" She felt bad for asking about it. "I’m sorry…" She mumbled softly, shifting away from him slightly.
"Shade used to bother me. He said I was too creative when looking at the stars or at the clouds… He was never one for liking the cute things in life. Like the baby animals I made from the clouds.."
"I guess I’ve always been this way. I love the small things you can get out of life." She paused, trying to think of another memory.
"Oh! After my parents died and when I was taking care of my sister, she would do the same thing. Even…" She paused a moment, and sighed. "Even as she was dying… She would smile and point out at the stars. I enjoyed that time with her more than anything. It was all that kept me going…" She smiled softly.
"I haven’t done anything like that since, though."
Reiga stared at her for a long while before smiling gently.
"...You know, they say that every star is really a human life, waiting for reincarnation...stars are born and they die, just as human's do. We move to the stars and when there is room for us once more in this world, we return...I'm sure your little sister is out there...you ought to name a star after her..." He advised, head tilting up through the open roof of the tree house and silver toned eyes taking in the dots of light through the branches...
"I've never been fond of sunlight...but the light of the stars isn't so awful.."
