yknow what... I think Nozaki and Suzuki-kun both being overshadowed by the other leads in the popularity polls is intentional... Suzuki is a reflection of Nozaki. Nozaki doesn't particularly like Suzuki because he doesn't particularly like himself, but at the same time he's desperate for the readers to like him because he himself wants to be loved by his readers!
But one day he'll understand that the love he wants the most is actually the love of Sakura, and that's when his role as a main shojo protag will finally be clear to him, and so it shall be that when he stops looking for the readers approval is exactly the moment he will get it like never before!!
It will be a moment more scream worthy than the fireworks scene in the anime-- near the school gates where they met, there'll be pink sakura petals storming all around, faster and faster until a cyclone appears and then a gigantic Tanuki will start destroying Roman Academy by stomping on it and Seo's brother will be forced to transform into a Magical Tanuki Girl to defeat--
