well the short version is that @foxrising and I were like “heeeeeey what if we populated sornieth with scary magic faeries” and our version draws pretty heavily on the sidhe because Convoluted Murder Courts are a great trope but also chinese spirits/demons that straight up eat people, the long version is that I really wanted to explore how magic works and how non-dragons would view the gods, so I ended up using faeries as a stand in for other magical beings, also I have a headcanon post about it here if you’re interested
