can i just say that im honestly Loving the contrast and parallels between qbad and qtubbo’s deaths and resurrections like. its tubbo’s “you cant change the past” came back wrong vs bad’s “sometimes the only way to fix things is to start over” came back better. its tubbo’s “sometimes things will happen suddenly and theyll be out of your control and you have to accept it” vs bad’s “things can be a long time coming and you still cant stop them. hold on too tightly and you’ll stop yourself from healing” . So, I've seen a lot of people describing the Wilbur situation as like a car wreck or a fire or some other disaster that's destroying their community and I want to offer an alternative perspective.

To be clear: it hurts. It hurts like a bitch. It fucking sucks and it's awful and we all wish we weren't going through it and if you need to log off and throw a little baby tantrum about it, feel free. I've already done that a couple times.

But I think the pain is more like resetting a badly healed bone or cleaning an infected wound. It hurts, but the process is ultimately healing.

What we're going to be left with at the end of this process is a stronger community with one less abuser in it, maybe even more if more people feel empowered to come forward. Shelby wasn't the only person Wilbur hurt. Even if she had been, that would have been enough to justify getting rid of him, but she wasn't. There are so many people now who will be more comfortable and happier and safer in the community, which will be stronger and more open and more able to trust.

Is it going to hurt to get there? Yes. Does it hurt a lot right now? Yes. Would it have been a thousand times worse to let it fester for fear of that pain? Yes.

Cry about it all you need, but it's not a disaster. It's a surgery.

Shit dude, I’m still thinking about the whole stream. I can’t get he message out of my head and how Tubbo wants rn besa for his baby girl, how he can’t imagine leaving her alone as the visuals show her making a cake and celebrating her birthday with a corpse. How sunny went to everyone she hoped would be there for her and was left with an empty seat in her boat. How Tubbo tells her that life isn’t fair, the way he choked up because he knew he might have to leave her. How Tubbo didn’t want to make a message like that but knew he should. How even after everything, the only ones that sunny and tubbo can rely on are each other. How despite everything, it’s still you.
