"Oh! Lyon-sama! Juvia hasn’t seen you in a long time. How have you been?"
"I've been fairing well though it has been a while since we've last spoken. How are you, Juvia?"
Jason took a moment to digest that information.
"Gray…Gray Fullbuster?" he asked, "COOL!"
This was turning out to be even more interesting than he had hoped! He could’ve smacked his forehead however, at how he had forgotten the traces of romance between Juvia and Fairy Tail’s own ice mage.
"Lyon-san!" exclaimed Jason, feeling a sudden need to help the man out, "Why don’t we do an exclusive interview for the next issue of Sorcerer Magazine! You’re a coooool guy! I can have a copy sent straight to Miss Lockser once it’s published and she’ll know how cool you are!"
"Yes, Gray Fullbuster. I'm sure you're quite familiar with him." It was obvious that the male was amused with the way his eyes gleamed. There had been a few times that Gray's exploits had been in the magazines and these were the only times that Lyon had ever paid attention (though he would never tell a soul).
"There's no need to send it to Juvia," he said finally after a long pause going over the man's words in his head. No need to complicated things. Lyon was not that desperate for the woman's love and as he saw it, doing such a thing would only make him appear petty. "We're mere acquaintances, as I've said before. I don't really need her to see me as...how did you put it...cool."
He was trying to make an effort to back off. To give Juvia the space that she needed. Pushing her to like him back would be disrespectful. "But I won't turn down that interview as long as the questions are within reason."
She understands that it just felt kind of abrupt is all, and she kinda felt like the last month or so would have been easier with someone to talk to about all of it. Someone who wasn’t involved ya know?
Was that an innuendo Lyon-sama Juvia can’t tell… "Well a while back Juvia kind of befriended Orga-san, the one from sabertooth, and long story short a few days ago Juvia was apparently very very drunk and Juvia and Orga-san got married over a pizza box with one of those soda can popper things as a ring. And now Juvia isn’t sure how to get a divorce. Not that Juvia doesn’t like Orga-san! Juvia just doesn’t want to be married to him!” There you have it, the cliff-notes version. Please don’t misunderstand anything Lyon-sama,
No, that wasn't. Really now, Juvia...is that how you see me as? I have more manners than that.
"Orga...? I didn't realize you were so familiar with him..." He didn't realize that anyone was really familiar with the guy. Lyon couldn't imagine anyone getting buddy buddy with the big guy but he supposed that appearances could be very deceiving.
He listened patiently to what she had to say--growing tenser with each statement. It was obvious with the way his hands were clenched into fists that he was not at all happy hearing such news. Not to mention that the temperature around them was quickly dropping.
"Juvia--y-you have to be joking! That's no wedding...did he tell you that it was?" Gray was one thing but Orga? Had he really lost to Orga? How was he supposed to feel about that? True, he had given up on chasing Juvia. It was obvious that Juvia was not going to return his affections anytime soon and that continuing would only bring him pain. He knew when to cut his losses but this...? "You're not married to the man! Not officially--you're two adults--you would at least know that the marriage has to be approved by an official and that...you would need a real ring as well..."
"Is he bothering you? Juvia?" Because Lyon was ready to take the man on. Consequences be damned.

Juvia bit her lip and looked at the ground, she knew that! He didn’t have to rub it in. But he was a demon and thats what demons do, they find your weakest point and exploit it. If she were wounded he’d probably give her a salt massage and tell her she should be happy because its a massage— Or wait, aren’t demons afraid of salt… She couldn’t remember. Maybe she had just been watching to much tv. The young woman took a deep breath and stared back up into his eyes. She knew what she was getting into and was prepared to see it through. "Juvia understands— Thank you for waiting until Juvia’s wish is fulfilled to take it."
It really was a relief he hadn’t just appeared and deemed her unworthy, killing her on the spot or perhaps worse just going back, leaving her never knowing if he, or anyone, could grant her wish. Having this kind of opportunity slip away was something she couldn’t stand the idea of. She nodded when he asked her to confirm her name and than seemed to recall she still wasn’t sure about his, you would think to summon a demon you would have to know its name right? Well in all the gibberish she had read through on the summoning spell she couldn’t make an up or down of what any of it might mean, his name was probably in there somewhere but she’d likely never figure it out on her own. "Juvia would like to know what your name is—- What should Juvia call you?" For someone who kept a habit of saying everyones name, almost so as to remind herself that she had enough connection with them to know it, it was discomforting to not call the demon by his. Especially seeing as he was about to become such an important part of her life. It was only fair really.
"Oh…" Panic started to set in a little bit— They were one in the same right? She always thought that was how it worked at least. All the people on the tv and in books who got their happily every afters found love by the end of the story. Even the more realistic ones had the ending where they had a scene with the love interest, either a heartfelt goodbye or them deciding to stay together and be happy. "Juvias wish it to learn what true happiness is, and falling in love is part of that." There, perhaps now she seemed a little more clear. Though how something so foolish could ever be clear to someone who obviously didn’t care about her past a quick snack when he was done was something she would probably never find out. Mostly because it wouldn’t be. Her eyes widened when he offered to kill for her, no that wasn’t what she wanted at all! She couldn’t find happiness through hurting others! That just didn’t sit right with her, for all that she dealt with her own jealousy and envy, more so in recent years, she knew deep down she didn’t want anyone to get hurt! She had enough trouble squishing spiders let alone the girls at school whom she couldn’t help but be jealous of. "No! You can’t hurt anyone! If you do Juvia will feel guilty and it will be even harder to find happiness… As much as Juvia wants to be happy she can’t do it at the expense of others…"
Her gratitude fell on deaf ears. Did she not know anything about the magic that she had used to summon him? He was physically incapable of killing her until he had successfully completed her desire. Demons could exploit this and that was what the smarter of the lot usually did. It was not genies who were the ones to find loopholes but the demons who did so. Morals could not be understood them but pride on the other hand was understood quite well. Pride itself was not a sin but when pride turn into arrogance then one could assume that it was so. He himself was a prideful demon who had no desire in finding loopholes in such a pathetic wish. She wanted happiness? Fine. That itself was a joke. She would be happy only for it to be ripped away from her along with her death.
He stared down at her, eyebrow raised in amusement. How odd that the woman no longer cowered before him now. He had never come in contact with humans before but he knew enough to know that they were usually afraid of demons. Then again, most humans knew at least a little of what they were getting into. Now a days humans were not as trusting, not as gullible, and not as believing. Only a few believed in the existence of demons and those that did were usually witches or absolute fools who had decided to gamble.
Now she asked for his name which he did not offer right away. His arms were crossed and he looked away from the small female as he observed his surroundings. A small room that really did not have much to it. A boring place. There was not much to stare at and not much to hold his attention either. He would be forced to remain here, unable to return to Hell until her wish was fulfilled. At least he would be returning with a prize. That was all that was keeping him here.
"You may call me Lyon." He finally offered. It was not his full name but it would do for now. Besides, there was no need to tell the woman his entire title.
It appeared that the easiest way to get her happiness would be to get her to fall in love if she was not in love already. Love was not a concept that he understood well. Love between humans was complicated. Demons falling in love with humans was already an unspoken taboo. It did not need to be said but every creature in Hell knew what such a thing entailed. Mockery of their being. Falling in love with your food? How ridiculous. He could make the woman fall in love with him. It would be easy to do with the help of a few enchantments but such a spell would be superficial and her happiness would not be real. How annoying.
"Was there someone you had in mind or do you really need assistance in falling in love? If that's the case you've come to the wrong demon. I'm sure you know at least that much from your silly little tales." They had to have some kind of lore about demons at the very least. For those who were curious but still did not believe. A pass time he had heard, to learn about things that could possibly not exist. A foolish notion. Why waste time on that when time could be better used for other things? Humans--he would never understand them.
Just like the woman before him who turned down his gracious offer. Getting rid of competition should have been seen as a blessing. Not that he knew much about blessings. Why would she feel guilty? He would be the one killing whoever it was that was in her way. What had he been summoned for then?
"Oh? You do realize what kind of demon I am, don't you? How did you summon me anyways? A slip of a girl like you shouldn't have been able to." His head was raised arrogantly as he stared down at her, eyes narrowing. His type of magic was very specific and he specialized in ice. A magic that suited his cold personality though that might have been shaped by his powers. It would not be too far fetched to assume so. "Your so called kindness will get you no where, woman."
"That's certainly the surprise--can't say it's a bad one."

i really want an “i accidentally broke into your house/apartment because my friend lives next door to you and i was in the area, drunk, and i thought i was climbing into the right window and falling asleep on the right couch (and i did wonder when my friend got two cats but i didn’t question it) so now i’m hungover and shirtless in your living room so um hi howya doin” au
"Lyon Vastia! Cool!" Jason cried out, then he snorted a little and mumbled ‘cool’ under his breath, appreciating his own unintentional wit for a moment before he blinked at the ice make mage.
"I heard a cool rumour about you! I heard that you have a budding romance with Juvia Lockser of Fairy Tail! It was such a coool rumour that i had to come and ask you about it! So…anything to say?"
"...hello?" The ice mage greeted hesitantly, eyes narrowing slightly in suspicion. The figure before him did not appear to be threatening in any way though he was not sure if he had seen the man around.
And oh, here we go. Rumors?
"Budding? I wouldn't say that." Which he regretted to inform the other. "Juvia is...very much in love with Gray. I'm sure you're familiar with him? There really isn't anything romantic between us. It was all one-sided." This was probably a good way to get everything out of the way. Maybe it would bring some comfort to Juvia to know that such ridiculous rumors weren't going around the two. "One-sided on my part, by the way."
He won't take a kiss from her but he'll take a hug. He's a weak man, screw you.
Juvia exhaled happily and grabbed the mans sleeve pulling him closer to her, looking up at him wondering if it would be okay— More than anything she truly didn’t want to hurt him.. And her own confusion seemed to be hurting him quite a bit. But the selfish part of her needed contact right now. She needed to be able to cling to someone and try to forget about everything. Hopefully someone who could make her forget. And no one was better at making her forget about her problems than Lyon-sama.So long as they avoided certain touchy subjects even just for a little while he was easy to be happy around. A lovable and loving man in every respect. That was exactly why she worried about hurting him like this, but she couldn’t help herself she needed to grab onto someone and not let go and maybe cry a little bit— Or perhaps a lot.Juvia is sorry Lyon-sama..

She regrets thinking that turning on the tv would help ease the awkwardness of thier current situation.
"If Juvia had noticed that it was annoying Lyon-sama Juvia would have turned it off—- If Lyon-sama could say something—" Could that really be the reason?! Juvia didn’t know how to be more assertive though! Lyon-sama was supposed to teach her these things! "Juvia is sorry Lyon-sama! Juvia will try to be more assertive in the future please don’t be mad at Juvia…."
True. He could have made it all easier by simply telling her what the problem was. But he was a stubborn one who would rather do things on his own.
"Does it matter now? What's done is done. I could fix it for you, I suppose. But the moment I leave it'll be gone. I can't conjure up items that can exist in this realm for long periods of time."
Not to mention he didn't even know what it was that he had destroyed. Even if he managed to recreate a T.V. it most likely would be useless.
"Who said that I was mad at you? I'm just giving you advice that you should be following better. How hard can it be to seduce a man? A human man at that. They're controlled by their urges, aren't they? Take advantage of that, you silly human."
Actually he's just heard all of this from other demons. They obviously know what they're talking about, right?
