I've always found the idea of dual muse blogs to be a really unique and interesting concept - you don't seem them as much as you do multi-muse blogs, and it's always pretty cool to see how the two muses in question are connected with each other - whether that's to emphasize how opposite they are or demonstrate a close bond that they share or ties that they have to each other. I always find it fun to read through your interactions and to see how your muses are connected and mesh. I hope to write with you more!

Ahh thank you so much! I really like to focus on the twins bond with another and their friends, as it’s really their first time having relationships like that. Plus, I feel like friendships are sometimes overlooked? Idk I just love writing their bonds and going into it. I’m glad to see my hard work is appreciated! It’s not long after the fall of Insomnia that Gladio hears familiar steps behind him—Prompto’s got a pretty unmistakable gait, after all, different from Ignis’s and Noctis’s–and then feels arms around his middle.

Gladio doesn’t talk about his feelings. He doesn’t really know if he even believes in talking about feelings. He’s a man of action, like his Father was, and that hurts sometimes, and it hurts more now—holding everything in and up on his shoulders as the world crumbles in and around his hands.

His back muscles tighten and shift as he strains his own nerves. Prompto leans his forehead against his back and whispers a wordless sigh. Gladio mumbles nothing in particular back. The words, again, don’t matter, there’s nothing that can express the grief and the pain he feels—

But the less emphasis you put on words, the more the little actions matter. This is the first hug he’s had since the last time he saw Iris. And he feels like he could crumble under the weight of it this time, but he doesn’t.

He smiles, and loops his arm around Prompto’s neck and ruffles his knuckles through his choco-colored hair. Prompto protests, and Gladio eventually lets him go. But in that brief moment of kindness, of touch—of someone else holding Gladio for a while—-the whole world stopped, and he was finally able to let out the scream he was holding in through laughter and jeers.

He gives him a wink as he pulls away, a touch of his knuckles to his shoulder—not to hurt, but to tease.

And while words don’t matter to him, or at least, that’s what he’ll always say—he nods his head, and the smile gets a little less forced and a little easier.

“Thanks.”

“Don’t remember me.” Luxu looks crestfallen as he finishes her sentence. He’s eighteen years old—finally old enough for her to look at him that way, as more than just a little boy, especially since she doesn’t remember him as a child after the rebirth of her world—-and it doesn’t even matter. He swallows, looking down at his feet.

“I understand.” He rubs the back of his neck over his hood. “You don’t even know me. How could you… even think of me….” He feels a lump hard in his throat. This isn’t fair. He had protected her from Heartless so many times. He had made sure this life would be just a little better for her—that the castle would be just a little nicer, that she would have just a little more time with her Father—and she didn’t care because she didn’t know and he couldn’t tell her.

Isn’t the hero supposed to get the girl? Isn’t the nice guy supposed to get the girl? And it wasn’t like his looks were the problem—the whole point of this fucking story was that she didn’t care about how guys looked!

“Can… can we be friends, at least?” He says, hopeful and bashful, despite the slight boil of his blood. If he’s friends with her, perhaps one day… they can become more. There’s always a chance, right? If he gives her enough stuff, if he’s nice enough to her. You put in enough work in with a person and they’ll spit out affection like a slot machine. Surely, it must be that easy. And aren’t the best relationships built off of friendships?

A little Shadow waddles up to Xemnas, a rather too large bouquet of black roses held in its tiny arms. It offers the flowers up to him, clearly a delivery from a certain someone.

Xemnas lets out a small gasp, thanking the little shadow profusely and patting it gently on the head before taking the flowers. He has no sense of smell---but he brings them to his nose anyway in perfect imitation, clutching them to his chest by the stem. He closes his eyes and whispers words he knows Ansem will hear. Across every boundary, across every chasm, no matter the distance or the time, their hearts are connected by every red string of fate.
