R.I.P. The 2976 American people that lost their lives on 9/11 and R.I.P. the 48,644 Afghan and 1,690,903 Iraqi and 35000 Pakistani people that paid the ultimate price for a crime they did not commit
Anyone who blames all muslims for 9/11 is an idiot BUT it comes off a tad inappropriate to bring up racism on a day such as this. Today is a day to remember victims and those who helped the survivors. How about u be sensitive today and leave the hyperboles for tomorrow
(1) racism can and will be spoken on where necessary. Just because you are a coward don't pull everyone into this. 9/11 is a time to remember those that perished and lost so much in 2001, but some have used this day to victim blame, so open your eyes and don't be complicit with wrong. (2) how about you take 2 seconds to see when this was posted. No one is here to make sure you are comfortable, so keep your condescension to yourself 😘

The irony of this post is that Arabs started the slave trade……“slave” even comes from the term Slavic
The irony of your comment is that you did not understand the context or the “bigger picture” meaning of the post, but still wanted to comment…
Really? Then enlighten me on the strawman. I’d love to hear how woke you are
(1) every year since 9/11, most of the people who blame all Muslim for the attack are right-wing White individuals (not all). But these same individuals will then argue that “not all white people are responsible for slavery” and that anyone who argues that point is either racist or stupid. They don’t see the problem with blaming an entire group for something bad, then saying “group blaming” is wrong when used against them. (2) you went into the post fully knowing that the tweet was speaking of slavery in America (and who benefited from it) and the problems that arose after 9/11, but chose to ignore that point and brought in a completely different point to make yourself sound intelligent. (3) the entire point of the post was the fallacy of group a blaming group b for something, then group a becoming upset when they are blamed for something. It’s not meant to be an “all white people” post, and that fact shouldn’t have to be explained.
(You know you could’ve just hit ever to space out the paragraphs)
1. You’re going to need proof to back up that claim about blaming all Muslims, because right now it’s just a fallacy used to make a fallacious argument. When in actuality there are more people blaming whites for slavery (just look in #slavery on any social media). Also 9/11 wasn’t the first attack and it’s not the only attack, when the attacks are perpetual and governments are telling their citizens to get used to the attacks….there’s a group problem.
2. You’re right I did know, however whites weren’t the only ones to own slaves in America and only the wealthy benefited. What I said was in fact relevant because Arab Muslim culture started slavery and is responsible for the attacks…….sounds like a group problem to me.
3. I knew it was a fallacy, however the blaming whites for slavery is a pretty popular narrative
1) What proof do you need? Go on many right- leaning sites or blogs (especially on social media) and you'll see it: group blaming. Even top government officials don't mind disregarding the constitution and banning Islam in America. And so you think blaming an entire group for the actions of a few is fine to do? So should the US ban Catholicism because of a few bad priests? Or ban all right-wing ideologies because the FBI believes they are the biggest terroristic threat to the nation?
2) and yes, white people were not the only ones to have slaves in the US, but they had a majority of the slaves and benefited the most from slavery and what came after it, even into the present day. And you added the Arab slavery part just to have something to say; you knew that was not the point but had to add that "just cause". Your point might be all well and good, but was not relevant; you said it to be cute.
3) And I'm not sure in what context you mean the "Arab Muslim culture started the slave trade". But frankly, the part where you said "Arab Muslim culture started slavery and is responsible for the attacks…….sounds like a group problem to me" just seems to be you saying it's okay to hate and blame a group of people because of what some did. That's wrong no matter how it's spun.
(Ps, I actually did have the paragraphs spaced out originally, but did not post that way)

Okay, LISTEN. Saying “White people” isn’t correct. It’s definitely too general. I am a white girl and I don’t want to be mixed with those ignorant people who open their mouths to say shit like that. Thank you.
If you don't generalize then the post wasn't talking about you lol. The post isn't even referencing a majority of white people anyway. But I've seen many bigots parrot that all Muslims are bad because of 9/11, but then get defensive whenever slavery is brought up. Those are the people this tweet refers to
like hack: if someone tells you about something bad they’re going though don’t try and compete with them about how bad your life is
i look like I be chillin but i be sad lowkey
and yet 2007 still happened
Just shows you that you can get back to a better place even after reaching a low point
this is actually really inspiring.
