The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves and wiser people so full of doubts.

Society did not kill the teenager. The stupid teenager followed society.
Debates in a Nutshell
"Speculations, misc. references, rambling. BTW ur stupid." "Different speculations, misc. references, scoffing. No U."
The question isn't whether one is right and the other is wrong, it's a matter of believing which sounds more credible to you.
The atheist side of my brain, and the creationist side of my brain do battle. (I consider myself intelligent, IQ tests, academics, problem solving, and what-have-you, will contest to this. You have no way to believe me, but whatever, I don't really care.) The end result? BOTH sound pretty derp when you stand back, take away your pride, and think about the basics.

To understand the religious mind all one has to do is understand his own. It does not matter if one is of a different religion or non religious, for all minds are the same.
To understand the religious mind is to understand one’s own, which is not to say each mind is religious, but that each mind is the same, equal in its suffering, in its loneliness, struggle, sorrow, and confusion; that each of us share the same needs, desires, and demand for security, whether it be physically or psychologically. In fact religion has absolutely no bearing on the religious mind. That may be a strange statement to hear, but if one were to understand the mind, the consciousness, the self, and its movement and needs then it would be apparent that religion has nothing to do with the religious mind at all.
