This is a great idea for an AU, but as I read through the comments it’s hilarious to realize how differently the opposing fan-groups would write this. K(B)lainers be like, “Oh, but Kurt falls in love with his target and can’t go through with the job, and he and Blaine go on the lam, and Blaine rescues Kurt from the agency he has betrayed, and …” basically turn it around into a hero!Blaine story. Everybody else meanwhile is going: “Badass!Kurt!!! Kill the fucker now while you have the chance! Let all the other boys drool over you as you live your awesome spy life of wealth, independence and badassery!!! ”  LOL

But the billion-dollar franchise eventually would fall back down to earth, with troubles on camera and off. “I look at the Empire cast and everything that’s going on with them, and I’m just like, ‘Don’t do it. Keep it together.’ And I think they have in the way that we never did,” says Murphy, who adds, “To this day, I’m devastated by everything that happened with that show.”

Over the course of six seasons of Glee, which petered out earlier this year, there was plenty written about backstage drama, fractured relationships and the death of star Cory Monteith from a drug overdose. All Murphy will offer are his own misgivings about his role on the show. “I was there with them all day long, and then we’d finish work and we’d go out and have fun all night, and I guess in a weird, twisted way, I was trying to relive the childhood I never had,” he says. “I thought they wanted a parent, and they didn’t. They didn’t want me to tell them what to f—ing do. They didn’t want me to tell them how to treat each other or what the world was like at the end of the day. I wish I could go back and do that differently with a lot of those actors. Some of them I’m still very close to: Lea Michele, Chord Overstreet, Darren Criss — but there were some that didn’t work out well, and I regret that. I guess I just wish I had been able to let them figure it out for themselves.”

I am very skeptical that all those people stopped being his friend simply because their life choices weren’t what oh so wise Ryan thought was best. This also leaves out the bullying in the script by the RIB team, which makes me wonder if there was bullying around the set, and off it…and the whole Graduation Gate story. I’m not buying it.

Some Darren fans are saying they will not watch after reading this creepy description in an interview with Ryan Murphy::

the thing about Darren is that I think he wants to do adult, different roles as I think anybody who’s played a teenager for more than four years would want to. He’s such a talented guy. Without telling me anything specific, he was just telling me about ‘the path that I’m on. This is what I want.’ We were writing this bat s–t crazy role on American Horror Story and I felt Darren would be good at this, because it’s completely different than anything you’ve seen him do before. He’s incredibly sexualized and violent in all his scenes for the most part with Kathy Bates. I thought, 'Well, he’ll love that.’ We started filming and he didn’t disappoint. He’s just so talented. There’s nothing he can’t do.
