carving acrylic matrixes and just getting familiarized with a new medium has been so fun and stimulating, from thinking of the design to printing it again and again and again. Such a nice technique <3

This was my first lino reduction! (and first lino piece using the press). I'm really happy with how it came out :) I wish the hairs showed up better but the texture from carving is pretty unavoidable.

Caterpillars are a pretty overused metaphor and I think there's something nice about how larva and maggots are a growth stage too. They're fat and full of folds and covered in hair but those were some of my favourite parts of transitioning. I think larvae are beautiful but I understand the apprehension of others

YA GIRL MADE IT UP TO THE PRINT SHOP! I had a few weeks worth of carving to proof today. I was also able to prep the paper for all but the bottled loon prints (◡‿◡✿)

Also the potion bottles and blue Jay are both designed for some thrifted clothes I got in addition to being paper prints!
