Good morning.
Wilson Fisk is blond.
in honor of the fisks having the best tracks...
• the four-note hum in "mrs. k" and the "love and power" motif plays at the midpoint. • notably heard when matt and wilson look up above/down below at the other respectively at the end of s1e1.
• the four-note motif really is interesting in that it permeates other tracks, which alludes to Vanessa's hand in the narrative ofc. • in s2e4 "gloves off", this plays as an outro.
• the fisks' theme. personal fav.
• wherever wilson is, so is this theme. • plays when he disrupts the meeting of vanessa and the five families. • three-note chorale whenever he makes a kingpin move.
please stay, plays in s1e7 for king yearn's solo dining experience.
everything in its right place plays for the fisks' date night at red hook (and everything really was in its right place). <3

Let Vincent D'Onofrio play Swamp Thing so I can finally ship him with Lara Zor-El played by Ayelet Zurer.
Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN SEASON 1 (2025), created by Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman & Chris Ord
he's so thoughtful (already figured out ways to ruin you) and smart (you can't even read his train of thought) and courteous (high decorum-low idiot tolerance).
my favourite ship dynamic

oh hey.
i fell in love with her all over again in this fit.
for Fisks' sake, the DDBA S2 soundtrack... 🧵
it's designed to torture me personally!
this plays for vanessa's flashback.
the sound of vanessa's death and wilson's mourning.
vanessa's funeral. it continues into mozart's requiem: introitus, around the 3-minute mark if anyone's nerding out.
fisk says goodbye. he leaves the funeral first and finds nothing is left.
for the wake, nocturne no. 20 in c sharp minor plays. i really loved that the nocturne motif returned.
the ticking bomb that is the kingpin. plays half of the way through before fisk and dd's fight in e6.
widower!fisk's morning alone, it aint easy.
st. matthew murdock prays, "i am so helpless and alone."
wilson grant fisk's theme as he enters the courthouse. banger.
the song that plays behind our final look on wilson: pyramid song. there was nothing to fear and nothing to doubt.
AU: Photoshoot with Mayor Wilson Fisk and the First Lady of New York, Vanessa Fisk
(posting this before the finale so that it still applies! LOL.)
(Inspired by this, I've written a little about what I think the interview would be. AU where Wilson didn't disappear during his recovery which meant that they were able to solve the port problem without killing Foggy which meant that Dex doesn't kill Vanessa).
If Wilson Fisk ever resigns from office, the Mayor of New York could have a second career as a chef. This was just one of the unexpected revelations from my exclusive interview with Wilson and Vanessa Fisk which covered everything from Mayor Fisk’s recovery from a life threatening injury to the couple’s secret to a happy marriage. Our interview has been edited for length and clarity. Interviewer: Mayor Fisk, today is your 100th day in office. How would you grade yourself?
Wilson Fisk: I don’t think it matters how I would grade myself. What matters is what the public thinks. My approval rating has almost doubled in that time. That means that people are seeing the work that I’m doing and they appreciate it.
I: Aren’t those numbers skewed by the fact that you only had a 30 percent approval rating when you were elected?
Vanessa Fisk: It was such an unusual election. Wilson really was being attacked on all sides as a third party candidate operating outside of the system. Those early numbers were based on the image of him. Who people thought he was. When people get to know my husband they realize that they have been wrong about him.
I: What is something about your husband that people should know? VF: That he really does love New York. I know that everyone thinks it is a joke. I’ve seen the impression on SNL. What is that actor’s name… I: Ron Perlman. VF: Yes. It’s very funny, that bit where he is having an affair with the Statue of Liberty. But I think it is so funny because it is true. I know Wilson is devoted to me. I know that we have a good marriage. But, if I told him he could live with me on an island or alone in the city…I am not sure what he would do. Of course, I would never ask him to choose because I want him to be happy.
WF: I don’t think it is a competition. I’d like to think that part of the reason I love New York so much is because it is the city where I met and married [Vanessa].
I: Let’s talk about how you met. You don’t seem like the type of people who were on dating apps. So, how did it happen? VF: I was working at a gallery and Wilson was interested in some investment pieces.
WF: I’m embarrassed to admit that, at that time, I didn’t really see the point of paintings as anything other than investments. If you want to know what something looks like you should take a photograph. Art or stocks or baseball cards. It was all just about the thrill that comes from making a good deal. But Vanessa made me see something more. I felt like I could see things that I couldn’t ever see before because of her. Suddenly I didn’t care about the money.
VF: Which is good because [he] vastly overpaid.
WF: You never told me that.
VF: It never seemed like a good time.
WF: Well, as far as I’m concerned, I came out ahead in the end. It was how I met you.
I: And where is that painting now?
VF & WF: Lost.
WF: We lost ownership of it at one point, after I was unjustly arrested.
VF: We lost so much because of those show trials. The piece is just one example. We were separated for years only for all of the charges to be dropped in multiple trials.
WF: The courts, and especially the lawyers, are able to use the system against hard working people. I think that is one thing that really resonated with voters during the campaign.
I: Speaking of which, do you have any comments about the lawsuit filed against you by Nelson and Murdock alleging that you are directing city contracts to your own businesses.
WF: I don’t know anything about it. I leave those things up to my attorneys, the same way that I leave my business interests up to the trustee. I have enough on my plate running the city.

Of the bajillion interviews I've read, this one is my favourite. 🥰
The Mayor and First Lady are such #goals, I'm surprised the show didn't exactly capitalize on it. Supporters at Vanessa's mural? Eh. This interview is doing better propo for the Mayor's Office than BB Urich! It's gonna get her out of a job! LOL.
VF & WF: Lost.
The way that the Fisks are so nonchalant whenever they speak in unison, totally normal behaviour! 😂 And the painting... It's totally in their basement, isn't it?
Daniel must've showed Vanessa the SNL bit. 😭 I can imagine Wilson's face of disgust after seeing/hearing about it. 😭
That line about NM&P vs. the Fisks on city contracts? Nobody dies? Hallelujah. Can I live in this New York?
🐇 Fisk Cut S2 preview
enjoy this sweet moment between the Fisks from episode 2! 😊
🤍 i did a Fisk Cut S1 compilation last year, and i'm gonna do another one for S2. this is the final scenepack i'm doing if they're not bringing Mrs. Fisk back in S3...
New meme:

Oh, look what Ayelet & Vincent were conspiring to do... 😭👍
I'll never move on. 😤
Say it with me: Vanessa is in a coma.
I believe that she had come to the boxing match [where she was fatally wounded] to — it might sound crazy — but in a way she comes to protect him. Because she knows it’s inevitable [the repercussions from his actions]. So she thinks, “OK, if it’s inevitable, then I’d rather pay the price. I’d rather go down for him.” That’s a remarkable quality in a human being and a character. At the same time, the juxtaposition is that they’re villains.
This is also from that interview and...it sort of confirms something I suspected when she was talking with Buck about wanting a gun. Buck says it isn't necessary because she has him and all of the rest of the security. Vanessa asks if he has ever been up close with Dex. Not a Ballroom but face-to-face. And my immediate thought in that moment is at her wedding and in the aftermath, when Vanessa is about to flee and opens the door to see Dex. That entire fight scene is probably the most HELPLESS we've ever seen Vanessa. The only point that is close is her poisoning, and even then she is still in control over Wilson (refusing to leave town without him). But right there, after her wedding, she is completely and totally unable to do anything but watch her life fall apart while she watches helplessly. And I wonder how many times over the years she wonders "if I just had a gun...I could have stopped it." Stopped Dex. Maybe even stopped Daredevil. I think that Dex is really sort of this interesting part of the Fisk relationship because they likely BOTH feel responsible for his place in their life. Wilson is the one who initially recruits him and turns him darker, but it was Vanessa who suggested using him to kill Nadeem. To using him further instead of eliminating him. Vanessa is the one who gets him released and uses him to kill Foggy, but she only was doing that because Wilson was gone. If he had been around they would have found a better solution to the issue of the free port being discovered. (And also, note that Vanessa never tells Wilson about her being responsible for Foggy's death. In the end she doesn't need to tell him because he figured it out. Although, it is interesting to try and determine WHEN that happened. If we assume he knew all along then it is really interesting that he doesn't actually make any move to eliminate Dex until AFTER he and Vanessa seem to be on better marital footing. He gets Dex moved to gen pop the same day he is taking Vanessa to Adam.) One thing I loved about the marital counseling scenes in DDBA Season 1 is how often Wilson and Vanessa are speaking in unison. It's interesting because this technique (married characters talking at the same time) is used to show their different views of an event. How they disagree. But Wilson and Vanessa don't disagree. They see things similarly even when they are at their most discordant. The fact that they both think they NEED to protect the other person from Dex because they both feel responsible for his presence in their life is just another example of this.
@callafallon it's like you pulled words out of my soul and i feel like i can breathe now?!
the writers reviewed that moment with vanessa and the gun in s1 and really pounced on it. on the fisks' second date, a false prophecy was made. they also pulled from vanessa's damsel-in-distress moment at the penthouse in s3 (in addition to the more recent ballroom incident) to motivate her to arm herself to protect her self-sacrificing, and practically suicidal husband, so it made sense even when it shouldn't. think about it: lady with a tiny gun vs. guy who never misses, who's winning? the odds aren't in her favor, but who gives a shit? she stays and she chooses her husband rather than run, just like in that penthouse.
to further reheat the original daredevil nachos, they parallel the boxing match incident with the penthouse fight by having all the principal characters there—fisks, dd, dex, and even "law enforcement"—as well as the plot beats. same as before, dd wants to catch up to dex and later, dex is incapacitated. the difference is that dex is targeting the other fisk, and she who used to be a damsel-in-distress dies as casualty.
i see dex as the fisk's pseudo child. eager to please mom and dad until he finds it in his heart to rebel. you see the consequence of how they dealt with him individually. he becomes their mistake and their comeuppance. yeah, the reason why we never saw richard fisk come to fruition is coz he's been chopped up into parts. but that's a whole 'nother discussion.
the way that wilson dealt with adam and dex... the show only briefly touched on it, but i think it was a game between vanessa and wilson. i think wilson knew these things as they happened. he just wouldn't meddle with vanessa's interests until he was actually back in the picture. the day he brought vanessa to adam, he'd already decided to settle the remnants of her actions (her double-crossing of luca really put the violence into motion), so that all the bodies would be buried at once.
ayelet makes an analogy about the donut and the donut hole, and it's every bit as funny as it is true. the fisks are doughbread! two things that fit each other to make a whole. one to be contained, one to be fulfilled. their greatest conflict centers on emotional hurt stemming from unresolved trauma, usually things that would make you question if you ever even knew the person, but all they say is "you never told me", "you never asked". they struggle to forgive abandonment and adultery respectively, yet it doesn't shake their unity. still, it does threaten to crack the pillars of their relationship—honesty, trust, loyalty—and makes room for doubt. thankfully, a little violent game test resolves their issues and the fisks don't (amicably) divorce. new york never gets to see how that works out!
kudos to ayelet's interviews that are always so insightful.
Oh, look what Ayelet & Vincent were conspiring to do... 😭👍
I'll never move on. 😤
Say it with me: Vanessa is in a coma.
thank the marvel overlords that they didn't do an intercut for the fisk's final scene in ep 5 😭🙏
"yes, baby." then just straight to her sipping pineapple juice. <3
so ya'll DO know how to let a moment breathe!
nothing like co-stars who love to work with each other and will see to it that their romantically entangled characters exist only with the other... even as an apparition.
