God, if you look closely at the Thomas gif-set from today, it really makes you feel so sad. He looks so abandoned and doing his best not to break. What the hell. He even does that gulping down your feelings thing!

Hey anon, you are referring to this great GIF set of Thomas and Jimmy's farewell scene.

Yes, it's really heartbreaking how Thomas tries to stay strong and smile but can't hide the pain of loss. The mixture between the spark of joy that Jimmy calls them friends and the great disappointment of losing this "only" friend. How Thomas avoids looking Jimmy in the eye and gulping down his emotions is so excellently performed by Rob.

I remember Rob saying in an interview that the scene was much more intense in real than it was on paper. The farewell personally affected Rob and Ed, what you also can see on this behind the scene photo.

Okay this is a very strange ask, but has anyone else noticed the boom mic in the shot when Thomas and Jimmy are saying goodbye? When Thomas is saying 'forget it, it's in the past'? I've watched it dozens of times but only noticed it just now. Am I crazy?
