[Mae Whitman] told me she actually was pitching it. She was like, “We’re going to have Amber end up with someone that’s not Ryan?! Go get Street or Riggins or somebody!” And they went out and they did it for her. I believe that it was Mae’s call! She wanted to make sure that fans of the show were taken care of and that Amber wouldn’t wind up with somebody they weren’t familiar with at all.

What did you think of the finale? I'm a little sad that Ryan and Amber didn't end up together, but with the way they wrote Ryan since the end of last season, I feel like it was the only way things could have gone. Sigh. In my heart though, it'll always be RYBER.

I cried, a lot. From all the shows in my life that I have watched from beginning to end, its definitely on the satisfied list. There are only few things I didn't like, but thats stuff that annoyed me through the whole season. And well the fact that Ryber really didn't get their HEA. I just hope this version of Ryan got his life together, at last, from the looks of him and zeek jr. it looked like it. They will always love each other in their special way, so that's enough for me. I'm a bit sad that she already had a go at another kid with Jason Street. Somehow, I can't be mad at Jason Street dating Amber Holt, Mae always wanted a Dillon Panther ;)

You know, at the time when we shot that episode [603] a couple of weeks ago, I thought, “Well this could go either way. I could either come back and pull my life together or not.” I haven’t been able to keep up with the show recently but I’ve been hearing that [Mae Whitman’s character Amber] has been fraternizing with some other fella. And let me tell you: If I ever see this fella walking around the streets of Hollywood, he better look out because that’s my woman.
