Women of the Ten Realms

This is just a sketch and it’s already the most self-indulgent thing I’ve ever drawn I LOVE IT. I’m going to save the giant list of names for the final, but rest assured: I got a lot of Asgard and Asgard-adjacent ladies on here. Not sure when the final will be done, but it will be available at cons and possibly online!

Some notes!

Hildegund and her kids are selling squeeze toy Malekiths, because yes.

I took off Jane’s helmet since it was kinda of a bummer she only took it off at the very end of the MIghty Thor. I wanted to see a happy Thor!Jane without the helmet.

I know that the outfit Sera is wearing is what Malekith wore while impersonating her, but I like the design better.

Both the 616 and Exiles/MCU versions of Valkyrie are here, as well as 616 Leah & Battleworld Leah.

Storm-Thor was a thing that happened in the comics, don’t @ me.

This is the Agent of Asgard version of Lady Loki, don’t fucking @ me about Straczynski’s run, I’ve read it.

Originally, Sera was just kissing Angela’s cheek, but then I realized I could reference the best fucking line in the series.

Also! Hela was supposed to be Looming Angrily over Angela and Sera, but after thinking about it I knew she had to be at the top and center like a Disney villain on a 90s VHS case.

Feast your eyes on the packaged photo of Angela from the new Guardians of the Galaxy figure wave due in the new year!

I know you’re asking why I posted the other photos from the wave, but I would just like to point out something that has been quite frustrating, but I just gotta get it off my chest. 

I know @jamesgunn promised we’d see a change but really, where the fuck is Gamora? In a movie where you have 5 main characters, 2 returning side characters and 1 brand spanking new character, you’d think we’d see them in the wave. Companies always wants to talk about sales, but Drax will be warming those pegs, as will Yondu but at least they are getting figures! 

Now lets forget the toys, in the trailer Gamora gets to do some fun butt-kicking, but she was the only character who didn’t even get a good quip. Heck she didn’t even get a line of dialogue! But they did manage to objectify her to some extent, just not let her speak.

And finally since the first movie, the Guardians have been everywhere since that first movie came out. They not only appeared in everyones comics, but they had a ton of spin-offs and solos. Not Gamora though. Gamora is the only character who has yet to have her own solo ongoing—She will though, which comes out at the end of the month, but we’ll see, there is still time to pull or delay the comic further. 

Needless to say, it’s frustrating to be a Gamora fan.

In all of her plastic glory! Here’s our first look at the Marvel Legends Angela figure set to hit stores in the Guardians of the Galaxy wave set for next January. Angela was last years SDCC winner’s poll figure, where she beat out the likes of  Sif, Symbiotic Spider-Man, Nighthawk as well as a few other popular characters.
