Now come Doraelin shippers and letâs talk about Doraelin
   Dorian Havilliard accepted Aelin Galathynius as an assassin, his lover, his friend and as far as a queen. He accepts all of Aelin, the person she was then and the person that she is now.
   When R-wan knew that Aelin was an assassin, he had been nothing but been so disdainful to her. He was rude and he didnât treat her nicely. Only when Emrys pointed out that he snuffs out the light that burns inside her did he become ânicerâ.
   If you can recall that scene in Queen of Shadows, when she stormed into the Assassinâs keep as Celaena Sardothien âfor one last timeâ. Rowan and Aedion were quite appalled of who she was, however Aedion understood why she had become who she was, an assassin and Aelin understood how he had to become Adarlanâs whore and how he had killed a lot of people as well. The thing is that R**an does not accept Celaena Sardothien.Â
   Celaena Sardothien did many great things. She set free a ship with a hundred of slaves in it. She helped this girl, Irene Towers to reach the Southern Continent to chase after her dreams of becoming a healer. She spared Anselâs life when she could have killed her. She damned the consequences and tried to avenge Samâs death and got caught doing so but even if she was caught, she said so herself that she would not be afraid.
   Celaena Sardothien was and is a really good person. If she wasnât an assassin, how would she have been part of the Kingâs Competition and how would Dorian have picked Aelin to be his Champion if she wasnât so?
   Realize that if she wasnât Celaena Sardothien first, she would never had gone back to being Aelin Galathynius. She would never have met Nehemia, a person she is also fighting for.
   Celaena was a huge part of her character and it has shaped her to become this new Aelin Galathynius. Celaena may have done horrible things but dismissing her would be eradicating all the good things she did.
   Dorian Havilliard accepted her for all that she was and all that she is and you can see that when he says, âYou cannot choose and pick what parts of her to love.â This is the thing that R-wan lacks, he doesnât accept Celaena Sardothien but accepts Aelin Galathynius. He needs to accept both of the persons that Aelin was and is.
   R-wan didnât approve of Celaena Sardothien, so it feels like that Aelin wanted R-wan to accept her and so it was like her need of approval that made her want to seek that from him because sometimes, we want to feel like weâre doing okay and that weâre doing something right but he wasnât making her feel anything like that, so she sought that certain form of approval because she wasnât getting that sort of approval from him.
   Since that was the part that R-wan didnât like so much, it seems like she changed so he could accept her. Aelin would not have noticed that she did that but in her situation at that time, all she needed was a friend and she desperately needed one. If you can remember after Crown of Midnight, she felt like she didnât have anyone left and when she went to Dorian who said âThen you will always have a place here.â, Dorian was her only friend at that time. In Heir of Fire, she really needed one because facing her past which was Aelin Galathynius was hard. She had tried so hard to bury Aelin Galathynius inside of her and she had to so suddenly face it. She had been so constantly trying to run away from her identity, and she had to accept it all at once. She had one friend and that was Dorian, but how could Dorian be there for her when they were a whole sea apart.Â
