Hi! I was wondering if you could help me find a fic I read a while ago. It was probably RDJ!Holmes fic (on ao3 I think) where Holmes returned from his great hiatus to find that Watson had died. Mary had a child and as a widow her future didn't look promising, so Holmes suggested they get married cause he wanted to take care of her and her child cause they were the last link to Watson he had.

Unfortunately I haven't read this fic :( I'll look out for it and maybe someone else will recognize it and send the link.

Are there, to your knowledge, any Holmes fics. based on Atonement? (In which, maybe, John Watson the medical student is blamed for a crime Prof. J. Moriarty commited and dies of enteric fever in the Battle of Maiwand, Sherlock overdoses on cocaine, and a guilt-ridden Mycroft Holmes begins to pen stories of the life they never had at 221b Baker Street?) I wouldn't ask, but the parallels seem almost too perfect.

 I have not found any Atonement/Sherlock crossover/fusions. I've looked :( And 'll keep looking. If anyone else knows of one though >.>....feel free to submit the link.
