On a somewhat personal note, I think it would be kind of crazy given what our show is about not to acknowledge what’s happening right now. [applause] We’re all still sort of processing this. I think last night did not go the way that a lot of us expected. Today, Broadway Cares made a statement that I want to read to you – it’s not very long. […] So that’s what you are supporting if you donate tonight. We are a cast and crew and family of about 40 people traveling all over the country this year. And we have gay people and straight people and people of different colors and children and parents and brothers and sisters and – the thing that I am struck by tonight is that we are all one. And we are not going back. And we hope that you will be one with us. [applause] One last thing. Many of you probably know that the show you’ve just seen is based on a book, which is based on a real story. And Bruce Bechdel was a real person. And we will not return to the world that killed Bruce Bechdel. We just won’t do it. So please drop a couple bucks in the bucket on the way out. Good night, everyone.
