64 Bourbons Bracket (Round of 32, Matchup 3) — Cooper’s Craft vs. Buffalo Trace Snow Days SP
Song of the Matchup — Maylene and the Sons of Disaster: “Tale of the Runaways”
Buffalo Trace Snow Days SP advances to the sweet 16. This used to be one if my favorite bottles, but it didn’t knock my socks off tonight. Grape gum dominated my palate. And Cooper’s Craft won the battle of the noses. Even though grape gum dominated my palate, it was far superior to Cooper’s Craft. Cooper’s Craft had no finish or complexity. The Kentucky chew didn’t really reveal anything about Cooper’s Craft. I’m not sure how it advanced in the first round, but it did. So, I used to get weakened apple juice on my palate when drinking most Buffalo Trace bourbons. That has shifted to grape gum (which is at least tastier), and I have no idea why. My palate is what it is. Cooper’s Craft still is a pleasant bourbon for my decanter and a relaxed pour. But it doesn’t hold up under repeated scrutiny and analysis. Maylene and the Sons of Disaster were better than both bourbons. Still, Snow Days advances to the Sweet 16.

Dallas was recently in a 4 wheeler accident while visiting family. He sustained extensive injuries to his body and head and is yet to regain consciousness. Dallas is a tough old boot and when he wakes up, he’s gonna need all the help he can get! If you or anyone you know can help Dallas with his medical bills, please, please follow or share this link and give as much as you can spare. Our thoughts are with Dallas and his family during this unthinkably stressful time.

Oh Lonely Grave - by Maylene and the Sons of Disaster
“The sound of gun fire so loud and rapid, but it seems to be so quiet around me, and out of nowhere I feel peace cover me. I reach down and reload my ticket home. The taste of cold steel on my lips, and a second later, silence fills the January air.”
