Captain Rook - a recolor and mesh edit

I've been wanting to make Rook a captain's coat for months, but was never able to find a mesh I felt fit. But then I saw this one, and I knew it was perfect. And since I didn't get to play my favorite lying pirate this weekend, I hyperfocused on making this instead. Hopefully someone else finds it useful!! And if you do, please tag me! I need more pirate sims in my life. 🏴‍☠️

Details:

Majorly edited mesh (removed armor and metal decorations from coat, made sleeves symmetrical, fixed distortion on hands, removed partial gloves, removed leg garter, removed coat tails)

Texture edits (removed pattern from the back of the coat, as well as removing shadows left by removed decorations)

19 new swatches for a total of 32. (3 more with black coat and pants + brown versions of the first 16 swatches.)

Known Issues: there’s quite a few split edges scattered around the coat mesh. Unfortunately they were a part of the mesh I started with, and aren’t a result of my edits. I might give fixing at least the most obvious ones a shot when I get back home, but no 100% promises.

Is it just me or do any other neurodivergent people out there need to be told in far advance before being asked to do a chore or you freak out and cry or get really overwhelmed over it? Like my parents will be like “oh hey can you do *insert chore or task* today?” and I’ll just be like 🤯 today???? Idc that it’ll only take 15 minutes or less it was not on the agenda??? I need more aromantic characters.

I want young aros figuring themselves out, I want middle aged and older people who are just understanding what they've been feeling their whole life, I want married people realising why they've always felt different.

I want allosexual aros in stable relationships on their own terms, I want allosexual aros who sleep around and leave broken hearts behind, I want allosexual aros who are always transparent and kind about their intentions.

There are so many ways to portray the identity, and the weird thing is I feel like characters who are allosexual and aromantic exist all around, but the writers either don't realise or don't admit that's what they've written (looking at you, Stuart from Queer as Folk UK).

Vernon Family Breakdown

My current sim DeAngelo Vernon

He's a Global Superstar as well as a Sims tuber with over 3 million followers.

Before having his kids he lived with his dog prince in Evergreen Harbor

His first born Serafina. Her mother is Summer Holiday. She was left with her dad because her mom only cared about pursuing a relationship often ignoring her when she came to visit DeAngelo.

Serafina is a social butterfly who loves to talk with any and everyone. She is also very smart recently getting into an elite private school. She relies on attention from others due to her fathers busy lifestyle but she loves him nonetheless, maybe that will change in her teen years??

His second born Dante. His mother is Ulrike Faust. DeAngelo and Ulrike felt that he would thrive better living with his father so DeAngelo is his primary parent.

Dante is constantly tired so he spends most of his day in bed sleeping the day away. Due to this DeAngelo doesn't spend as much time with the boy as he should. Not that Dante notices...or cares.

Serafina and Dante are pretty close to each other overall. Reason being that Serafina is usually the only person that Dante will see when he wakes up long enough to eat and play a game or two.

this family is adorable though there's a few bumps in their road. There is definitely more to DeAngelo's story that meets the surface though cant wait to play with these 3 some more !!
