Here’s my piece for Gallery 1988′s annual Crazy 4 Cult show, opening September 27th, 7–9pm, and running through October 19th.

The show asks artists to create work inspired by their favorite cult movies, and this year I’ve chosen once again to do a piece inspired by Little Shop of Horrors. I also tried my best impression of 17th century Dutch still life paintings because those are some of my favorite works to look at whenever I go to a museum and it allowed me to bring in the flower shop element from the movie.

I’m super happy with how this painting turned out. It was a total labor of love.
